    1. Hi Scott, This one doesn't belong to me, but to a friend of mine, cost him a small fortune in postage getting it out to Australia, so I don't have to worry about fitting it into my display cabinet. My friend also has several different Panzer track links, and they are really darned heavy, I will stay with my few humble LW items I think. Nob
    2. Rick and John, Amazing, thanks very much for taking the time to research him, John your efforts are greatly received at this end, it sure adds a bit to the overall history of the item, and to know he probably survived the war as well, but sadly mourning the loss of one of his kids. Thanks very much for your time and effort. Paul as far as I know this is a standard style of drivers licence. I have seen a few and all looked like this one. Bob
    3. And just a little bit closer, best I can do with the digital until I get my scanner fixed.... Bob
    4. Sadly the photo has been folded in half, but detail is still very clear, here is the location of the Flak School from the back of the photo....
    5. How about a group shot, early prewar lot of Flak officers....
    6. Woa, is that a curly one, Jos or Francois would be the guys with the possible answers on this one, maybe this is a postwar mod for use by the East Germans, I haven't seen this combination before in any wartime photos, but that is not to say it isn't wartime, I just haven't seen this style of jack photographed before, and I look forward to hearing what the more learned guys have to say about them too. Bob
    7. Last photo, a bit closer in for the photo of him, showing him wearing his fliegerbluse as a Hauptmann. Bob
    8. Some photos of a Luftwaffe drivers licence that I have (with thanks to Hugh Page-Taylor), and I thought I would share the pages with the hope that some one may have some more info on the Herr Oberst, First up is page one (what a good place to start), upranked from Hauptmann to Oberst.... Bob
    9. You have some great photos in your collection Terry! Those two shots you posted J. T-W absolutely gobsmack me too, beautiful !! Bob
    10. Paul, You are either in league with the black forces, or your paying a guardian angel to look after you Congratulations on some great pick ups, they all look fantastic !!! Bob
    11. And the last photo, showing the back of it. Best wishes Bob
    12. Can't say for sure that it was a Luftwaffe example, but as they used them I thought I would share the images, a good friend of mine just landed this one from Europe, would love to know the history of it, but here is a small bit of one of the German APC's that has survived.....
    13. Shine ! Man, they sit up and SING ....
    14. Hmmm, I would still be inclined to think the swastika was added postwar..... Bob
    15. Thanks Joe and Scott, yeah I am very happy with 'em too, now to work on the documents. Bob
    16. I agree wih Scott, eagle looks good but the swaz is not correct, it looks to me like it was once de-nazified, and someone has had a swastika re-affixed, there seems to be a slightly different backing to the part where the swastika is too, so my guess is a good bird with a postwar replaced swastika. Bob
    17. Closer, photo didn't come out too well, can try again if there is any interest. Bob
    18. Hi Johnsy, Feeling much better now thanks mate, Best wishes Bob
