    1. Great stuff Snoopy, I had one with the hub, and the bracket still intact, but sold it off a couple of years back for something else that was more needed at the time, wish I still had that now! Bob
    2. And a closer shot of the Herr Hauptmann.... Bob
    3. Hi all, A couple of period photos I picked up years ago, showing Luftwaffe transport troops, here is a shot of their vehicles and troops standing about, with their officer looking official....
    4. Here is a HG cuff title for NCO's, with the 'Russia braid' above and below the title, quite a rare cuff title, this one had been added to a tropical tunic post war, a shame as I would love to get my claws onto an untouched HG with cuff title, but I think that would be about impossible on todays market, but here is a nice example of an original wartime NCO's cuff title at least! Bob
    5. As always Johnsy, great photos, and superb information too. Cheers Bob
    6. Just a little bit more on the markings, I believe the Fl. U.V. is the abbreviation for Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung or Flight Barracks Administration. Bob
    7. Hi Snoopy, Yeah they sure look like they are brothers ! Thanks for posting yours Cheers Bob
    8. Here is a nice PR shot of Warramunga in some 'roughers', I did the initial contractors sea trials on this one.... (Anzac Class frigate). Bob
    9. I am enjoying your photos Johnsy, I worked on FFG's 05 and 06 (Melbourne and Newcastle) at the dockyard, I will have a dig around amongst my photos and see what I can dig out to add to your shots. Bob
    10. Another pic, a group of shoulder straps, there is a nice Other Ranks HG here as well, I don't have an individual photo of the pair of them at this time, so will add the group of straps with the HG pair included. Bob
    11. End bits, the pull cord is a replacement, the ball is original, just not to this particular grenade. (well, it is now)...
    12. Again, not strictly Luftwaffe, but used by them, so I will add it here, a reasonably intact 1943 dated stick grenade....
    13. Another Luftwaffe souvineer item, from KG 77, a nice plate with standard Luftwaffe Fl. U.V. marks on the reverse of it.
    14. and in a bit closer, it does look like it may have been slightly coloured at one stage... Bob
    15. Here is an interesting souvineer from the early part of the war, I believe Krosno was one of the Polish military strips taken over by the Luftwaffe after the invasion, and from what I have read, the town of Krosno was really worked over by the Nazis, and most of the Jewish inhabitants of the town were deported with most being killed before the end of the war. This plate is from the Luftwaffe Signals unit stationed there, and has some skilled workmanship involved with the intricate carving that has gone into making this souvineer of the war....
    16. and the last one, showing it laying on it's side. Bob
