How many here are collecting these items? Like DDR are they being assembled today? What is the chance of finding real WW2 era officer tunics?

Ed Thats what i thought also, but I wasn't sure. I just checked ebay, generals are buy me now at 750.00 , isn't that crazy. Am im wrong on this ?

You have a good point there. Space is always an issue also. I prefer Officers over em items anyway. One thing im always concerned about is the fabrication of items. last week i noticed 2-3 East german general ranks on ebay. I wondered if the were assebled or real?

Hello Paul I collect daggers and Officers tunics and items. I started collecting back in the late 80's. I belong to about 6 forums, but i only post at 2 of them ( well now three ). Who owns this site anyway? it look allot like another one.

Hello paul Im not new to collecting at all. Im just trying a different path. I think forums are great, but some are the worst in the hobby. Sometime I think that there are too many forums and not enough collectors. Since everyong knows that most members belong to 6-7 forums. The data isn't getting shared as it should be. Another part of the hobby is the price, people ( new guys ) starting out in an area or the hobby have a hard time justiying the cost of an item.

this is a very good thread. im wondering if these could become something that others will want years from now? I have 3-4 of them myself, but I stopped because the eaby marked got flooded back in 90-92 era. Have the prices gone up any? Is there a collector / dealer who isn't assembling them ?
