    1. You can find all of them in my France & Belgium gallery: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/gallery/album/205-france-belgium/
    2. Some colleagues have expressed doubt as to the China medal's authenticity due to the ball suspension. I scanned the maker's mark on the reverse in extra high resolution, is anybody familiar with a crab mark?
    3. Spent hours on this, nada... Sorry...
    4. We would need much bigger pictures for a better identification.
    5. Bravo on your acquisition! A very different and interesting bar!
    6. This:
    7. Yes, unfortunately, the news is bad... They say there aren't enough people posting to warrant separate sections...
    8. Oh crap, here we go again... Бежать!
    9. Aw crap... Winter's here again... Bah humbug to the cold and ice!

    10. Found the answer... Was there a crossed anchors ribbon device worn on the undress ribbon of the Maritime Decoration? YES Same question for the 1940-1945 Maritime Medal? YES or bars or palms What about the 1914-18 and 1940-45 Civic Decorations, any crossed swords or torches on their undress ribbons? NEG, NADA
    11. Was there a crossed anchors ribbon device worn on the undress ribbon of the Maritime Decoration? (A smaller version of the one worn on the full size award) Same question for the 1940-1945 Maritime Medal? What about the 1914-18 and 1940-45 Civic Decorations, any crossed swords or torches on their undress ribbons?
    12. OMG that's it! Look at the face! It's chairman Mao! :o
    13. Looks like King Albert discovered McDonalds... And Krispy Kream... And Scotch Eggs... That, or he was overthrown by the Michelin Man... ;)
    14. OMG! The 2012 variant is quite... Unattractive... Isn't it?
    15. I know this is a post 1866 / pre 1955 knight's badge of the Ordre de l'Instruction Publique (old Academic Palms)... Can anybody possibly narrow it down a bit more? Or did the model stay exactly the same over 90 years?
    16. My guesses... Top row visible : WW1 Commemo, Colonial medal... Bottom left: Annam Dragon, the star at bottom right... No idea.
    17. As soon as the mailman delivers it, I'll post extreme close ups for you. Merci!
    18. So you would estimate the age of this one to between 1900 and 1920?
    19. I recently purchased this officer's badge of the Order. I'm a bit puzzled about the rosette though... It is unlike any other I've seen for this order. The red bands are usually on just a few of the ribs and on opposite sides, not all around the interior like here. What are your thoughts, private maker? Older model? Standard rosette for a certain variant of a certain period?
    20. You might want to consider posting this in our "Members valuation & identification section", IMHO, you'd get many more people seeing it. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/forum/222-members-valuation-identification-forum/
    21. I'll ask Nick if there's enough room left...
    22. That is truly superb! Absolutely stunning! :jumping:
    23. Very nice! And yes, the badge is the cherry on top of the sundae.
