    1. Sweet stuff! Have you considered a montage of the various articles? It would make for a very interesting display.
    2. Very sweet related artefacts!
    3. Found a picture of the new, smaller, ribbon mounted Order.
    4. I'll be honest, looks great with the stars!
    5. I thought the stars were on bars... No?
    6. What utter nonsense! He should lose it and his name be stricken from the records!
    7. Click on the pics, it'll blow them up, the names are on the cards next to the medals. Only a few of their units are missing, I'm hoping to get that info next time I drive down there.
    8. ABSOLUTELY BORDERLINE OBSCENE IN BEAUTY! :o
    9. Just for a bit of fun... I noticed errors in the Navy and Air Force videos. Can you find them?? 3 things wrong in the Navy video, things that should've been edited out of a modern Russian military video. Found 1 major ooops in the Air Force video... Something that should NOT be in a Russian Air Force video...
    10. For those interested in Russian hardware, here's a series of very well made videos! Unsure if this was the original intent, but they'd make excellent recruiting tools! Army Navy Air Force
    11. Here's the very first half decent picture of the new design Orders I could find... FINALLY!
    12. Next time I drive there I'll try to get the unit info for the ones missing.
    13. Imagine my surprise to find out there had been an engagement barely 50kms from my homw town. The other 3.
    14. Some interest and questions arose about Canada General Service Medals so I thought I'd share these 6 I found in the Knowlton (Quebec) museum. All are to local boys from Waterloo, Knowlton and Brome Quebec.
    15. Regardless of construction material, those are incredible!! I've built well over 500 plastic model aircraft of all scales from 1/72 to 1/24 in my younger days, but people like you that do this from scratch are true artists IMHO!
    16. I agree with the "better late than never"... But am so crossed at the debate in the first place. Seems many people require to read up on what a battle honour is and what the intent in granting one is. Pride, morale, history, values, sacrifice, rememberance, etc... Too many see it as a mere expensive decoration... I've been in a multi year fight to get 2 missing battle honours for my squadron and have had to face unbelievable bureaucratic stupidity...
    17. Aaaah... Now THAT makes sense!! I didn't know you were making molds of the hull. A day where I go to bed less stupid than when I woke up is a good day in my book.
    18. Just found myself one... I had no idea they were this large and heavy!
    19. A nice fly-by for President Putin on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Russian Air Force. A flight of Su-27s, Su-25s and MiG-29s forming the number 100.
    20. Thanks... I might slip in a small drop of lock-tite on it. With my luck it'll turn after I seal my frame...
    21. I don't understand exactly how you're doing this... Isn't the metallic tape there to represent the armour plates? If so, what on Earth are going to be sanding down? I'm confused. :wacky:
    22. This might sound like a stupid question but... Is the center medallion suppose to turn freely?
    23. A trinket of the Order of St John perhaps? Could be a knight of St John...
    24. Excellent reading! What an incredible gentleman with an incredible life! Thank you for sharing! Passages like this, IMHO, are the very best parts of history.
    25. All provinces have a provincial Order, a few medals... But this one is a federal (state) medal.
