When was the Mozambique Medal Instituted?
    2. Has anyone seen photos of these in wear? Ribbon bars or full-size medals?
    3. It says he was entitled to 4 bars on his 1939-45 commemorative medal, do you know which ones? I can think of «Norvege» and «Liberation». Perhaps «Engage Volontaire?» Which clasps feature on his Levant medal?
    4. Thank you for the reply. I found these photos online, looks quite similar.
    5. I bought this Katanga Gendarmerie jungle hat from a Swedish auction site, the seller claiming that it was brought back to Sweden by a UN soldier in 1961. Any thoughts? The cap badge is enamelled, good quality.
    6. Beautiful group you have got here, really amazing! Which clasps to the WWII Commemorative Medal did he receive? I'm guessing; Angleterre, Norvège, Afrique and Liberation? Which clasps is displayed on the Levant Medal, "Euphrate" and "Levant 1925-1926"? I see he also received the Croix de Services Militaires Volontaires in silver and bronze, I believe this was a reserve medal? Would this be a correct list of his medals? (what he would be eligible for at least) 1. Chevalier de Légion d'honneur 2. Médaille Militaire 3. Croix de guerre 1914-1918 (with bronze star) 4. Croix de guerre des TOE (with bronze star) 5. Croix de guerre 1939-1945 (with palm) 6. Croix du combattant volontaire 1914-1918 7. Croix du combattant 8. Croix des Services Militaires Volontaires (in silver and bronze) 9. Médaille commémorative de la guerre 1914-1918 10. Médaille interalliée 1914-1918 11. Médaille coloniale (with clasps "Maroc" and "Sahara") 12. Médaille de Syrie-Cilicie (with clasps "Euphrate" and "Levant 1925-1926") 13. Médaille commémorative de guerre 1939-1945 (with 4 clasps) 14. Insigne des blessés militaires 15. Chevalier de Ouissam Alaouite 16. Deltagermedaljen 1940-1945 (Norwegian WWII Service Medal)
    7. I just bought these two GQ Parachutist Badges, and then I heard that these were also produced after the war. Would you consider these two as original WW2 issues? Best Regards, Dan
    8. What do you think of this Badge? Wartime original?
    9. Would he not also be eligible for the Philippine Campaign Medal from the U.S. for his service with the Philippine Constabulary during the Moro rebellion in 1907-09? Is there any truth to him having served with the French Foreign Legion in Tonkin (1909) and with the Italian Army at Tripoli, Libya (1911)?
    10. The photo is from an online auction, and this was the only picture posted unfortunately. Strange that sellers choose to display such low quality pictures. Presentation is everything if you wish to attract buyers. Thank you for the information regarding the unit.
    11. What do you think about this beret badge? Original from 1939-40? I'm just starting to look into badges worn by French units in Norway 1940, and don't really know much about it.
    12. Thank you for the replies. I saw they went for 25-30 GBP on www.medal-medaille.com with one clasp.
    13. Hi! What do you guys think of this medal? Is the ribbon and clasp periodic? What would be a fair price? Best Regards, Dan
