    1. My late father who served in No.1 squadron at RAF Tangmere, always related a story that his (and other Squadrons) were still in France following the fall of Dunkirk and that when all available pilots had flown out, the Ground crew had the job of destroying any remaining aircraft/vehicles to prevent them falling into enemy hand. Finally they left 'in the belly of a bomber' and were brought home to somewhere on the Salisbury Plain. can anyone help is this story True and is it documented anywhere? steve bennett
    2. I am looking for information on the repairs carried out to HMS Victory following the Battle of Trafalgar. I know she was towed into Gibraltar for repairs before being able to continue back Home. She was assisted through the Bay of Biscay and across the Channel by HMS Warrior and was anchored up in the Solent at Spithead Bank where further repairs were made before she was able to sail to Chatham, her final destination for the body of Lord Nelson which had remained on board all the time. 4. I am currently researching (and Building) one of the Flower Class Corvettes, seized by the Kriegsmarine from the French in 1940. They were originally laid down as Arquebuse , Hallebarde, Sabre, & Poignard. These were completed and renumbered as PA1 - PA4 and outfitted as Flakship / Convoy escort. Can anyone assist with any more details and possible locations for Plans & Photographs Steve Bennett
