      "What is your main EK interest??" ALL OF IT!!!! nail on the head, there is so dramatically more "stuff", and so much variation in the inventory- not to mention quality of manufacturer.... the least of my imperial medal bars so far outshines the standard TR issues - it was an artform. the switch from TR to imperial was perhaps the sanest step i've taken!! joe

      just on general principle, $1925 is WAY more than i'd spend on this.... yes, it may be a private purchase, but it would truly be a "low end" private purchase... to me, it has the curb appeal of an AMC Pacer. the hinge/catch doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the paint job... joe

      the oakleaves and swords are not original. whether they are period made is another question, but given the relatively small number of recipients and their status and the fact that they were, in the main, officers, i am not optimistic.... joe
