    4. Wolf Keilig "Die Generale des Heeres" list all with military info Mark
    5. I display my small postcard size ones under glass atop bookcases and in albums (about 400). I only frame for the wall large format photos signed with a personal dedication. Mark
    6. No, don't collect militaria. The SS KC holders are all people who have helped with my books. Best Mark C. Yerger
    7. As time permits will have some other signed photos scanned and posted. I've always had a great deal of interest in Stuka KC holders. Amazing numbers of missions flown compared with Allied pilots. Below is a large format color photo of Franz Kieslich dedicated to me, he flew well over 1000 missions and won the Oakleaves.
    8. To pen to pick 1: Single engine fighters: Spitfire, Tempest, Ki-84, George, Fw-190D, Zero (early war) Nightfighters: P-61 and Mosquito 2 engine bombers: B-26, A-26, Ju-188/288/388, and repeat mosquito 4 engine bombers: B-17 twin engine fighters: P-38 and Mosquito Ground attack: Typhoon, FW-190, and P-47 But arguments could be had for many as a lot of types were close in the peak of propeller driven development. Mark
    9. Thanks Got the JG-300 book. Heard also that Monogram is doing a Ta-152 book this year, similar to their Ar-234 and Do-335 books. Generally I'm interested in: aircraft development, etc aces (biographical) Among my favorite British aircraft authors are Mason and Shores. Also VERY much enjoy Warner's Blenheim book. Its a tad rough finding what I want as a UK aircraft fan who lives "over here" and took some time to get all my Putnam volumes and some other titles. Best Mark
    10. seems I can only post 3 photos, would like to see the groupings of others. Mark
    11. Curious if other collect larger format signed Knight's Cross holder photos with personal dedication. I have a few Luftwaffe and Heer but most are Waffen-SS.
    12. Bob Have a few photos I can get scanned and post, no scanner of my own. Will work on it. Best Mark
    13. Johannes Steinhoff, Swords and 176 victory ace who led the postwar German Air Force
    14. In my humble opinion, if not for a year in the hospital during the war, G?nther Rall would have been the top ace. An amazing pilot.
    15. Erich Rudorffer, Swords, 222 victories, is among the few still living Swords holders.
    16. In all letters and both times I met Galland he was very, very pleasant to all. My first meeting was in 1978 in the USA
    17. Among the KC holders the Luftwaffe are among the nicest replying questions and with requests allowing signed photos. Alfred Grislawski, EL, 133 victories
    18. My most recent book released about a week ago, my 3rd on SS/Police German Cross holders (the initial work covered all GC in Silver holders). Needed are copies of documents (awarded to or signed by GC holders), as well as any photo material (with or without the award). I have 9 more to write. Full credit given for any material used. 19. Just joined and though I write books on a German topic, my 700+ WWII aircraft books are a relax hobby with interest in RAF, US, German, and Japanese aircraft. I am always looking for good titles. I note the lack of much available at all on Martin Maryland twin engine bombers bought by the RAF though a new non-English booklet has appeared. I hope members in the UK will post photos from some of your exceptional air shows and aerial related museums, have seen some in person but not all. Among my favorites (in no order) created "over the pond" are: Tempest Typhoon Beaufighter Halifax Spitfire Stirling Wellington Sea Fury (though not WWII operational) With walls of Robert Taylor, Frank Wootton, and other prints here to remind me !! Best Mark C. Yerger
    20. I'd assume D.R. (normally d.R.) is for "der Reserve," a rank given to be held until the end of the war within all services. Mark C. Yerger
