Another present for my 70th birthday last week from my awesome son. I have NO idea where he finds these but really enjoy getting them.

Mervyn,
Did Tony's directions help you?

May we share other police armbands here (US & foreign) or is there another forum that would be more appropriate?

I know this is not military related, but I hope the "powers above" will allow it to be viewed. I'm sure modelers will appreciate them.
This gentlemen was AWESOME!

Beautiful work.

I never got a HS ring. As an Army BRAT I went to three high schools in four years! Started in France, continued in California and graduated in Georgia. I did get some HS sports letters (Tennis and Rifle Team) but that was it.

John,
Thanks for your entries. It is very interesting to see how my original post has "blossomed" into all this information.
Thanks again,
Ed

Go to any search engine and type in National Defense Service Medal. You'll get a lot of info.

REF #13:
John, Thanks so much for posting the web address for the Berlin Brigade. My Mom is 90 and has Dementia, however, when I showed her the pics on the site, she readily identified the type of housing she and Dad lived in. I know this is a fact as we have other pics that were taken while they were stationed there. It was enjoyable to travel back with her and listen to some of the "more reliable" memories.
Thanks again,
Ed

Long Thrust,
Thanks for your comments.
It would be nice if you would post (at least) your first name for us.
Thanks again.

Another Christmas present from my son.
Please open the 3rd picture. It has some ID numbers on it. Long shot, but perhaps someone may have some info on what it means.
As best as I can make out they are:
16-50
R-795
The last two are pics of both ends, just an FYI.
Thanks in advance
Ed

More presents for my police car collection. 1/32nd scale.
I have bought a gun safe so I'm going to add glass shelves to my old gun cabinet and use it for a display case. Figure I'll be able to get about 15 or so shelves.

70th birthday presents from my kids
in United States of America

I haven't been reading very much lately so I guess my daughter thought I should take some time just to "sit and enjoy" a couple of good books :-)
The crests are from my son. They are worn on US Army uniforms. These bring my collection number to 115. I really enjoy this as an aside hobby to my "primary" hobby of collecting police department shoulder patches and police car model die cast cars.
