  2. Dear gentleman , does anyone have an idea about this brooche. It's made of gold with heliotrops and it's realy a very fine jeweller work. On the back it ís stamped with " JA's Aitchinson ".Here are pictures from the front and back . Thanks for any ideas. Hilmar
  3. In first to the navy flags east germany: The oldest are in cotton textile. The youngest one, are made in Polyamid textile( Dederon). The flage with the ligthe house are from a help ship. The flag of help ships are every in blue. Battle ships are red. This typ of the helpshipflage with lighte house is form the sea hydrography service in the DDR a part of the Volksmarine. The SHD ( Seehydrographischer Dienst der DDR ) maintain the buoys and other seafaring - sign in the baltic sea and also light houses. Sincerely Holger
  4. Good question! Officers have take in first the soviet academy badges. That was the highs honore to study in USSR. And the east german acadmy badge was not so imported. And I have also no old picture in my collection with take 2 academy badges on the uniform.
  5. Yes. Thants rigth. But more than hard to finde are the medals from the anniversery?s. Not more than 50 pieces are maded from a typ.

  7. 50 - 100 Student end the study every year on this military medical university in my hometown.
  8. Not sure. It is a remeber medal. Lokk on the uniform of the fireserviceofficer. He take the ribbonbar.
