    1. Many thanks for your comments, gentlemen! Identification of that vet is still needed...
    2. Thanks! Any ideas on the 2nd and 3rd decorations worn by the veteran from my photo?
    3. Many thanks for correction, Glenn! So, only five Württemberg veterans left: 1. Unteroffizier Staib (Schloßgarde-Kompagnie) 2. Unteroffizier Hinderberger (Schloßgarde-Kompagnie) 3. Unteroffizier Schweizer (Schloßgarde-Kompagnie) 4. Feldwebel Ulmer (Feldjägereskadron) 5. Wachtmeister Rembold (Feldjägereskadron) Any ideas whose portrait do we have here then?
    4. Just to update and revive discussion Portrait was initially posted here and kindly identified by ixhs as former Vizewachtmeister Berckhemer from the Dragoner-Regiment König (2.Württembergisches) Nr.26. Decorations: 1. Wurttemberg. Verdienstmedaille des Friedrichs-Ordens 2. Wurttemberg. Silberne Militärverdienstmedaille oder Zivilverdienstmedaille (???) ---> Help needed!!! 3. Wurttemberg. Militär-Dienstehrenzeichen 2.Klasse 4. Prussia. Kriegsdenkmünze für die Feldzüge 1870/71 für Kämpfer 5. Russia. Imperial Order of Saint Anna, 4th class 6. Prussia. Zentenarmedaille
    5. Thank you! However, your medal bar shows KDM-1870 für Nichtkämpfer while "my" vet sports KDM-1870 für Kämpfer.
    6. Many thanks for your expertise!!! Is any additional info regarding Berckhemer known from the book you cited or any other source? E.g. his full name? s.V.M. - DA1 - R.A.M. Could you please let me know what Württemberg decorations these abbreviations actually stand for? s.V.M. = Silberne Verdienstmedaille. Militärverdienstmedaille oder Zivilverdienstmedaille? DA1 = Militär-Dienstehrenzeichen 1.Klasse? R.A.M. = ??? Russische [Orden der Heiligen] Anna Medaille?
    7. Thanks a lot for the list! Is it know what heroic deeds those NCOs were awarded Russian order for? As for your guess, i.e. Schlossgardecompagnie, could you please share with me why do you think so?
    8. Many thanks for your comments! Dear Andreas, do you have complete list of those eight Germans awardes with the Russian St.Anna Order, 4th grade?
    9. Dear gentlemen, here's my latest purchase - CDV showing unknown Wurttemberg veteran from Ravensburg/Tettnang. Decorations: 1. Wurttemberg. Verdienstmedaille des Friedrichs-Ordens (?) 2. Wurttemberg. Silberne Militärverdienstmedaille (?) 3. Wurttemberg. Militär-Dienstehrenzeichen 1.Klasse / 2.Klasse (?) 4. Prussia. Kriegsdenkmünze für die Feldzüge 1870/71 für Kämpfer. 5. Russia. Imperial Order of Saint Anna, 4th class (so-called “klyukva”). 6. Prussia. Zentenarmedaille. Two questions: 1. Have I idenitifed decorations correctly? 2. Is there any chance to get the exact name of the veteran?
    10. Yes, that's my website which I update twice a month. All the photos in the Gallery section and used as illustrations for articles are from my personal collection.
    11. Frankly speaking I doubt this is a Friedensheer serviceman, I assume this vet serves with Firefighting or Red Cross agency or any other organization. Sorry, I can't get what do you mean by "photo hp. with uniform pics"?
    12. Sure I know that is not Green Aiguillette with Westphalian Horse!!! I just mentioned it as an example of award lanyardsthat did exist then...
    13. Many thanks, Laurentius! I wouldn't say so, as the lower end of the twisted cord seems to be fastened firmly to the interior portion of the breast pocket button, while the upper one is stitched or attached somehow else to the inner part of the blouse button... Maybe it's a kind of long service or good conduct decoration, something like a Green Aiguillette with Westphalian Horse?
    14. Dear Gentlemen, I need your expertise in attribution of this Weimar Republic-era portrait. I assume this man is a firefighter, but I may be wrong. Fragment with decorations and sleeve insignia. - EK II ausg.1914; - Kriegsdenkmünze 1914/18 des Kyffhäuserbundes mit Frontkämpfer-Abzeichen (als Feldspange); - ??? - certain aiguillette
    15. Any ideas on the branch of service of this gemtleman judging from the uniform he wears?
    16. Dear gentlemen, could you please help to ID neck order and second order of this military (?) official? CDV is from 1890s, I assume, and was made in Paris. Neck order - ??? Breast decorations: 1. Croix d'officier de la Légion d'honneur 2. ??? 3. British Crimea Medal with two official clasps and strange upper clasp 4. Ottoman Mecidiye Nişanı, 4th or 5th class. 5. Russian Imperial Order of Saint Anna, 3rd grade. Is it possible to identify this Monsieur?
    17. Dear gentlemen, could you please let me know whether it's an original WWI Prussian belt buckle or a modern-day reproduction/copy/fake? Thinking of buying it but need advise to be on a safe side! Thanks in advance! Unfortunately I don't have better photos as these are the only two provided by a seller.
