    6. you are attacking me also you do what you want to do you offended me n my dead relatives that it was a story told in the medal club ive never offended your dead relatives and i nevr would now im a christian man im not goin to your level of pettyness you go on writing your little point scoring game as im an adult trying to help people so you just go on writing leave my relatives out of this and all medal collectors never buy irish medals from northern ireland considering the esater rising as they are fakd heavily in belfast.im from belfast and it breaks my heart to say this i also have a nice collection of medals and its my duty to tell collectors about the belfast faker even though this may AFFECT MY COLLECTION AS LONG AS I KNOW WHAT I HAVE AND THAT NO ONE GETS CONNED BY THIS BELFAST FAKER.PET.
    7. well that says it all your just here to attack me on the forum why,im only here to stop people being conned by the belfast faker who has belt buckles trinket boxes medals cummnabawn brooches to irish voulnteers these are all faked by the belfast guy and paper work as well.would you ;like to see a fellow collector like ourselves buy these come on man im here to help you aswell not to knock you as you are doing to me im starting to wonder why???
    8. hi mise ive never mentioned australia in my quotes and the medal club meets every last tuesday of the month and my uncle billy is chairman and hes collecting medals for over 35 years and he knows alot and hes a nice gentle man who would wlcome you,and i find your forum writings offensive against me as im only trying to help people from being conned you seem to be attacking everything i write if i help one person from buying a fake medal in my lifetime on this forum then im happy, also im contacting the forum about your comments, pet
    9. thanks edd i admire your courage as the discussion was going the wrong road and i told the forum that i cannot name dead relatives im on this site to help medal collectors not to buy fakes not to indulge in petty scoring, thanks edd for straigthing a road that was starting to go winding, well done edd youve got courage, pet.
    10. my dear friend have you ever read about the ric /black n tan death squads in belfast in the twenties if they shot defenceless men in croake park what would they not do ,i cannot name my relatives as its not for me to do that as my mother is still alive and she would no like to see a relative name being used in vain to justify a medal conman to make a mockery of a dead person to get an even score over medals so my goodman i have to refuse this nameing to you have you nothing to do than look for geave stones have respect for my dead relatives as i have the greatest respect for you.pet.
    11. i read what you had to say your intitled to your say but im secetary of a medal club in lisburn city and they are great lads you seem to fear medal clubs and there members why, why, easter rising ,black n tan ,1921/1971 fakes are coming from a guy in belfast infact everyone in our club are aware of these belfast fakes ,there is absolutley no fakes coming from dublin dealers,or collectors.as they are people like ourselves i recognise yur wording ive seen it before and the guy who said your medal was fake name him if your so sure hes wrong,as maybe we can help him as its great to help the new man collector ,thats why im on this forum so im advising you as a fellow collector that the fakes are from belfast and not from dublin.also im very aware of the guy in belfast with the gold smelter and his carry on which does exist im on this forum to tell every collector home and abroad never never buy any easter rising, black n tan, medals from anyone on ebay from northern ireland its better to be safe than sorry after you have spent thousands to realise you have been conned by this cowboy as this guy changes his seller names on ebay all the time but i know him and his other names thats what a medal club is for to help when this guy is on ebay.as we alert each other.i hope this helps u,pet.
    12. ok its good to see you enjoy other aspects of the hobby ,anytime you need help just mail me im always willing to help people like myself, thanks for the reply.
    13. hi irishmedals im sorry i was slow to your reply but these medals look ok but if your going to buy make sure you will get money back if not the real thing as its nice to keep yourself covered,i looked at your site it really looks good the way you have put it together, goodluk, pet.
    14. i was talking to an irish history school teacher the other day and he was telling me that a good lot of ww1 soldiers took part in the war of independance against the ric/black n tans in the north of ireland as they had returned from the great war there was not much work for them so they joined local units of the ira and took part in the war of independance and michael collins sent a few of his leutenants north with weapons to the sailor town part of belfast ie the dock lands,my great grandfathers brother was stoned when he went to work in the docks area by unionists.i hope this is a good little snippit of history for the guys.
    15. hi leigh its good to hear from you as im tea total i suppose i could change coffee for guinness for yourself ill be goin to the roddys mccorleys museum over the next few weeks and ill have photos to put this forum, pet.
    16. hi megan it was nice to read what you have to say on the forum lately,i think the guy who i have been describing ,,the belfast big time faker is most likely the guy who is trying to wreck the forum over the weekend ,and so as all us honest medal collectors can see that what i have been saying is the truth im only here to help people like ourselves from these fakers, thanks megan it was great to hear from ,pet
    17. thanks to nick for his good work on the forum lately.i met a man yesterday in belfast as theres a roddy mccorley museum in belfast there is a few easter rising medal ,black in tan medals to two brothers from tipperary and an irish voulnteers full uniform that belonged to one of the brothers with authentic paper work, also theres one of the original gpo brass door handles the contents of the museum were donated by republicans whose ancestors had preserved the artifacts for years its really fantastic, also theres a republican museum in belfast from 1916 to modern day items,if any fellow medal collectors from home and abroad ever visit belfast i would gladly meet these people and bring them to these two museums free of charge of coarse and ill treat them to coffee also so all you medal collector travellers put this in your visit notes and just email me thruogh the forum,im always willing to help ,pet.
    18. hi peter i agree with you 100% and as ive stated before im not on the forum to cause friction im only looking out for our fellow collectors but im standing by my principles on this one im toatally honest nothing to hide thats ok if the guy does not want to hear what i have to say if im on this forum for another 25 years and ive helped just one collector from being conned then im happy.also the guy says about the dublin fakers i could not let this go as ive met the dublin collectors and they are a great bunch of lads always willing to help and they are a very trusting guys,so considering what the limerick guy had to say im not upset as hes intitled to share his views thats what a forum is for ive no axe to grind and i wish him the best.peter you seem to be a nice guy i admire your courage in approaching us on this issue and if you evr need anything from belfast or northern irelad just ask me im always willing to help.pet Peter
    19. sir i told you in my last reply to you im not out to cause friction in the forum im telling you the truth ,but sir if you dont want to believe you carry on with what you think is right as i have no sleepless nights wondering whats real and whats fake in my collection and i will clarify this to irish collectors home and abroad please do not buy any of these medals on ebay coming from belfast or northern ireland. and id like to say this to collectors home and abroad that anything i have purchased from dublin has been 100% the real thing and the dublin guys have been a pleasure to deal with.also my family has been involved in irish politics/the struggle from 1912 with jim larkin and james connolly and the socialist riots so i have awealth history in me and my family so im not the type of person to stay silent and watch cowboys con a living from what was a cause people struggled for.pet
    20. dear collector yes i do have a life and i have things to do my great grandfather ,his brother ,his sister played major roles in the 1916 rising then proceeded north to engage the black n tans now my great uncle was shot dead in mayfair street belfast in 1922 by the black n tans and my great grand mother had a bayonet stab wound in her back from a black n tan soldier/murder squad, now its up to the likes of me that ther awards ie medals and honour be treated with respect they deserve, now for these ebay cowboys to fake thes medals its disrespectful and outragous,if you want to waste your hard earned money by all means buy these medals when they appear on ebay.but sir im not out to cause friction on this forum im only looking out for and trying to help people like you n me good decent medal and irish history personel as sir as ive explained ive seen people pay thousands for rubbish and any human being to see this happening if he be christian has to feel for there loss.ive kept the most important item to the last i dont like to correct people when there wrong but sir the easter rising ,n black n tan medals cumm na bawn brooches that are faked are not coming from dublin they are coming from one particular dealer from belfast as ive seen this person haranged out of collectors fairs and it hurts me to say this as im from belfast my self.so sir i hope ive shed a little light on this subject.pet
    21. i hope ive been able to help you about this subject.pet.
    22. also ive seen solid silver trinket boxes with the irish voulnteers cap badges lazer engraved in the face of the box being sold as original what this guy has done is to get an old hall marked silver trinket box then lazer engraved the irish vols cap badge on to it,also beware of belt buckles with the cap badge lazered engraved on to the chrome buckle they seem to be named to the ballinagh unit /company do not touch these either these are all coming from the same guy in belfast.
    23. hi sir i remember those items if you look at the ribbon it seems to be a bit thicker in the cross grain of the cloth also the way it is stitched and the medal bar look at where the pin is situated half way across near the centre of the bar,and my dear friend look carefully at the medal side photo just near the centre of the thumb nail the point of the star edge can be seen if you look very carefully you can se the a centre line in the brass edge now that should not be it seems there has been a join there and the medal has been filed then painted to hide the join but with the pointed edges stick out of the medal paint has wore off and a bit of the line is still a bit visible, now the brooch are gold and as you know gold never tarnishes how to telll is the actual size they are a bit smaller and are either lighter are heavier as this guy has access to a gold smelt also my fellow collector im happy that you guys are reading my posts on the forum these are not right and as i try my best to clarify things do not buy any irish civil war items from belfast or northern ireland for me to say this saddens me as im sure there are people from northern ireland like myself who have 100% easter rising items ,but its better being safe than sorry after loosing big money and believe me the respectable gentleman from our medal club who lost ?2,000 pounds to this cowboy had a lot of sleepless nights and thats not good if your over 50 years old ,also this medal has the same marks as the medal that man from our medal club was conned with cause we compared them when these photos were on ebay a few months age,i hope ive helped you ,,pet.
    24. hi megan trading standards know this guy better than himself as he has made newspaper headlines for similar items before and he has been fined but the trade n standards can never catch him as the clues are moved to somewhere else and that seems to be the way of it so its up to us to make our fellow collectors aware of him thats why im here now as i sat silent for so long and watched collectors like ourselves getting conned.pet
