To start Nice Jeton set. Its just a guess but could be for a Invalid assoc. I cant read russian and that should clear up what these were issued for. Lots of assoc that time period, Feb 3 1912. the 84 is the silver content mark. George

Heres another period photo of a White russian pilot. wound stripes on sleave. Photo approx dates to 1918-1920. George

He looks abit like Gavrill Sarychev. Just a guess. Hes is also wearing a 20 yrs civil service ribbon and looks to be a St Johns cross below his neck award civil St Anne. George

Another piece I picked up last week. Naval patch cut from a uniform. I was told the uniform was eatin up by moths and this was what they could salage. Patch for Machinist mate naval flying crop.? 1 button and a red stripe. Thanks George

Just picked this badge up at a bottle show here in New Mexico. Had some interest to me because a Russian great Uncle was a policeman in Shanghai 1930's. enameled flag in Green with a yellow cross and RP. rest of the badge is silver has a small chinese mark on the reverse. Ribbon on the bottom states Shanghai River police. Anyone help with the time period? Thanks George

Hi, I didnt see the Small kokoshink in the earlier pics. So it would seem your St. Anne is from 1908-17 period. There should also be a small dot either to the left or the right of the neck of the head this would identify the city of manufacture. Right dot under chin is St Petersburg left dot Moscow. George

Theres another newer publication out as well. "Russian Silversmiths Hallmarks" by Geoffrey Watts I dont have this book so cant advise spending $100.00. Another is "Imperial Russian Makers' Marks on Orders and decorations" by Spink. This is a great Publication if you can find one. large format paperback. George

Hi, I use the "Guide to Russian Silver Hallmarks" by Paul Paulson This is usual available on ebay. The 56 mark on your order is the Gold content mark 56 gold is approx 14Kt U.S. Your order using a mix of Red an yellow gold. The makers marks should be on the arms of the orders under the enamel. Same on gold or silver versions of the orders. The so called black enamel is an early order 1880's-90's and command higher prices. I received 12,000 U.S. for a damaged St Stan. just last year. Badge for graduation from the School of Naval Engineers of the Emperior Nicholas I at Kronshtadt. Looks to be an original badge in need of a light soapy warm water cleaning. i would not use a silver cleaner. Look nice with its age. George

Odd piece. i cant find any reference on this badge. The top monogram is for peter the 1st the lower for Nicholas, the "II" could be broken off. Is there anything at the bottom of the garland? your scan is a bit dark to see. Either way it is Imp. Russian in design. could be just a unattribuated badge. I have not seen this one floating around as a FAKE anywhere. George

Rick is correct. I did find a civilian german belt buckle with the crossed keys logo. Civilian Locksmith visor cap, Hotel staff or security staff. George
