    1. Yes, nice (and actually issued) 4th class Golden Kite order made by Japanese Mint after 1936. Looks like once it was inside a medal bar.
    2. Indeed a perfect fit. This veteran obviously didn`t care much about any rules ) Manchukuo National Foundation Merit Medal stands before all Japanese medals.
    3. Regarding badges with Kikusui symbol and "Kamikaze pilot badge" https://asiamedals.info/threads/badge-with-the-kikusui-floating-chrysanthemum-symbol.15339
    4. Perfectly possible combination for a post-war veteran medal bar/ribbon bar. Another example (from my personal collection).
    5. These are official census taker’s badges. Regulations, original designs, manufacturers and variations https://asiamedals.info/forums/census-badges.648/
    6. Sorry, missed this paragraph. As mentioned earlier breast star and neck badge belong to /approximately/ 1936-1940 time. As for the case, neck ribbon and miniature rosette - all three belong to the 1960+ time period. Most likely previous owner (or dealer) decided to "freshen up" this set. The correct case for such set should look like this After 1937/1938 silver inscription (with golden paulownia) is possible. Best, Nick
    7. Rare set that was issued somewhere around 1936-1940.
    8. Yes, it certainly is. This nice Kite was manufactured by the Mint during 1930s/early 1940s.
    9. We don`t need any proof since it is inside the 1942 regulation. He was not obliged to wear both, but could wear both.
    10. John, as for today, only photos with badges of Association are known https://asiamedals.info/threads/greater-japan-national-defense-womens-association-badges-in-photos.24019/ Best, Nick
    11. Excellent specimen in near mint condition. Pity that sticker with the name of awardee was removed from the case.
    12. Nice obidome! Very nice obidomes John! Here you will find all information abouth these (and others obidomes) https://asiamedals.info/threads/obidome-of-womens-patriotic-association-me.23784/#post-349430
    13. Chance is close to 100 percent. P.S. A little correction to an old thread that Tracy mentioned above. All "flat reverse" sacred treasures belong to the 1960s-1981 time period. Although there are documented groups with this order variation that are formally awarded in 1944 /and even in 1943/ but in fact they were all issued during early 1960s /post-war awardings/.
    14. Both birdies are from Meiji era. Meiji Kite For example https://asiamedals.info/threads/5th-class-order-of-golden-kite-awarded-in-1906-to-army-second-lieutenant-yoshimi-masan-for-the-russo-japanese-war.26619/ Showa kite For example https://asiamedals.info/threads/4th-class-golden-kite-and-5th-class-rising-sun-orders-posthumously-awarded-in-1938-to-japanese-ace-ryohei-ushioda.27740/
    15. All kites belong to the 1895-1910s time period. Second medal bar (with Dragon of Annam) looks very nice. First medal bar (with two kites) almost certainly a modern compilation /the "base" could be original by both kites were added later).
    16. Do you have general photos of reverses of both medal bars?
    17. Wrapping paper would be a correct "case" for the commemorative one. Medal looks original. Only the ribbon of commemorative is a modern replacement and suspension ring could be resoldered/glued.
    18. His document for the order of Rising Sun with Paulownia Flowers https://asiamedals.info/threads/order-of-rising-sun-with-paulownia-flowers-of-belgium-prime-minister-henri-jaspar.23108/
    19. Loyalty, Bravery and Righteousness Corps of Haguri Nakashima County Membership Medal. https://asiamedals.info/threads/loyalty-bravery-and-righteousness-corps-of-haguri-nakashima-county-membership-badges.26102/
    20. This case belong to the 1920s/late 1930s time period. 3rd class Sacred Treasure with mark M would be ideal for such case https://asiamedals.info/threads/3rd-class-sacred-treasure-order-marked-m-issued-on-january-14-1938.24285/
    21. No, this is something else. Geometry of the rays and central medallion are obviously different.
