    1. Former Officer Gombojav wears the above hat badge (photo circa 1930s).
    2. Not sure if this was ever posted before. Anyway, below is the scan of the Mongolian Revolutionary Army Officers Hat Badge. The star filled with red enamel and the 1924 type Mongolian People's Republic coat of arms in the center. The star frame is filled with blue dark enamel. The Soyombo was gold-plated originally but it is gone on the illustrated specimen. The illustrated hat badge was worn by the Mongolian officers in 1930s.
    3. Congratulations, Bob. I will send you the translation of the recipients name and other details on the booklet posted. Soon.
    4. Major General of Border Troops Sharavyn Dorj in his parade uniform.
    5. Succeeded to upload this time. thanks for offer to help, Jan.
    6. NIB: Mongolia-Czechoslovakia Friendship badge. Brass and enamels.
    7. Can not upload. The file is big even after compressing. Sorry!
    8. Honored Employee of State Security Comrade Taya wearing the Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Interior along with the Order of the Red Banner of Military Valor. The photo shows that Comrade Taya, unlike his many other colleagues, did not change his older type badge and order with later type ones. The photo taken in late 1970s.
    9. NIB: The Badge of the Best Employee of the Health Care.
    10. The Order of Garuda and the Medal of Garuda of the Mongolian National New Party.
    11. The State Prize Medals of Writer D. Namdag on display in local museum in Arvaukheer city, Uvurkhangai aimag.
    12. Will, I think all of the badges except the Badge of the People's Great Khural coded as B 02 in Bat's book have the price in the same range. B 02 badge is cheaper.
    13. Below is the badge issued on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Mongolian democratic parliament. The anniversary was celebrated in November 2010. Some 600 badges were made at the Mongolian mint and presented to the foreign delegation members and the key staff of the Mongolian parliament. This one was presented to me by the State Great Khural.
    14. Below are the obverse and reverse scans of the People's Great khural deputees badges. The one on the top is coded as B 03 in Bat's book (no reverse scan is shown in this book for this one) and the one below is coded as B 02 (the reverse of this badge is coded as B 04-R). If we compare the obverse we can easily see the difference but that is not the case if we look at the reverse. The reverse of B 03 is on the top and the reverse of B02 is below. Both badges have almost identical looking reverse except the overall shape and size of the badge.
    15. Peterse, thanks for the scans. I have the same badge that you have posted above. This type coded in Bat's book as B 03. has two variations: Var 1 with a screwback reverse and Var 2 with the pinback. Both variations are posted below:
    16. I have posted a copy of the Certificate of Quality and packing list of the HML issued from the Moscow mint on August 5, 1965. Such documents always accompanied the newly produced orders and medals made at the Moscow Mint. The copy of the documents are from the Mongolian archives, see the stamp. BTW, the medal quantities and serial numbers of the medals listed in the document are for the part of the HML with the stamped serial numbers on the reverses.
    17. Below is the a copy of the Soviet invoice document for the production and delivery of the orders (ORBCV, ORBLV and OPS) to the Council of Ministers of the Mongolian People's Republic in 1946. Most interestingly, the invoice gives some numbers of the Order of the Red Banner of Combat Valor of the first, second, third and fourth awardings produced by the Soviet Mint.
    18. Just to add some examples of the kind of archival documents I have used to produce this book. The scan below is the copy of the delivery package list and the product (in this case, The Medal of the 40th anniversary of the People's Revolution) quality certificate issued by the Moscow Mint to the Presidium of the People's Great Khural on March 8, 1961 for the Medals of the 40th anniversary of the People's Revolution with serial number 00001-04000. If translation is needed, I can provide it later.
    19. Peterse, Badge #1001 B03 front and B04-R reverse - The reverse (b 04-R) of the badge depicted belongs to B. 02. Badge #0784 B04 front and B02-R reverse - You are right. I think that is the case.
    20. This badge (coded as B 05 in Bat's book) was issued to 76 members of the Mongolian newly elected democratic parliament in 1992. Therefore, the badge is one of the rarest in this type series. The Old Mongolian inscription says "The members of the State Great Khural". The badge was made in Mongolia. Made of fine enamel and gold-plated silver.
    21. Badge of the People's Deputy (1988-1992). Battushig coded this as B 02. The badge has the same inscription "Deputy of the People's Great Khural" but in smaller fonts and with the darker color enamel and slightly large in size than Type 3 badge. The has only one variation which has a pinback reverse. The scans below show the obverse and reverse of the badge.
    22. Then I put the badge of the Deputy of the People's Great Khural (circa 1960-1988). The badge is coded as B.03 in Bat's book. It has two variations: Variation one 1 has a screwback reverse and Variation 2 has a pinback reverse. The badges of both variations have a consecutive serial numbers. Below are the scans of the badges of both variations.
