    1. Michael, Many thanks for this article, most interesting! Best regards John
    2. Hello all!! Here is one i am thinking of purchasing. Any idea of a rough value? Don't want to be paying over-board for it! Thanks John
    3. Hi. Does anyone know where i can get a rosette for this award? Ribbon is blue, as is the rosette. The standard size is 6mm for the small one and 28mm for the larger one. I am looking for the 6mm one. Have tried a few French sites but my French is not that good! Thanks
    4. Thanks Alex! Whats the opinion guys? The missing medals come with the bar so they would have to be sewn on...thy are a KVK w/oX and a 25 Year Service Cross for Faithful Service. I have been offered the bar off ebay as such for under just over 800euro...this a good price? Thanks John
    5. Hi. Have been offered a medal bar with this Hohenzollern Order on it. Is it a period original? The maker mark looks a little half struck to me but could be the sellers pictures. The Maker is JG & S and silverstamp "938". Thanks
    6. Here is Konstantin von Neurath with his early mdal bar. I have seen a photo of him in a book with a longer medal bar, one with teh Faithful Service Medal on it. Best John
    7. Hi Dave, He wore his Flak badge below his EK1. If you look at the picture on the right (very small i know) you can see the flak badge below the EK1. This picture is of him with another General (Generalleutnant Friedrich Frhr. von BROICH??) when they were captured in Africa (Tunis) by the Americans in 1943. Kind regards John
    8. Hi guys. Thanks for posting your thoughts. Hi Rick. Both pictures are of Frantz Gotthard (apologies about mis-spelling before)...i know they are probably too hard to see here due to only being able to post up to 70K, but both men in the pictures look the same. How are you so sure that the lower left photo is not him? I will try posting them in separate posts when i get back from work. As for the ribbon bar...they didn't always match the medal bar did they? I am afraid no documentation came with this grouping, (so i see where you are coming from Rick) and neither did the pictures, that was just something i went and searched for myself to see if all added up. All items are original, but all original to Frantz i know it is/will be hard to say. This group was sold to me as you see it, as all belonging to Frantz. Again i know it is hard to prove that these items were actually his, but imo equally hard to prove that they were not his. My best to you gents! John
    9. No opinions on this group at all? I find that surprising!! Here are a few pictures of the GenLt.
