    1. Seems he survived the war and were not captured, as he was not on the list of those. Could not find any awards given during the last months of 1916. The only ones listed are those of the high officers. Sorry.
    2. What is the guys name, any info on battalion, further dates? The book is quite extensive with fallen soldiers and in some degree awards, so might be possible to find some info on him. Best Regards, Christian
    3. I've now received the regiments geschichte. They were fighting around Mitau (Jelgava) until 13/5-17 when the left for Flanders.
    4. I think the guy is a swede. More bargains to be had at the Probus auction.
    5. Great document. Makes me think of this group. Did it ever resurface after it were cancelled?
    6. Could you post the list of Germans? Even without the vorname, cross referencing might narrow it down considerable.
    7. Sorry, got bit too excited. But the participator medal is on the rolls as well, there will be alot of more work looking through them now and won't be able to pin pointing it.

    11. I bought it at a flea market nearby. Unfortunately I wasn't the only that saw it, so we commenced a bidding war, with me walking away as the victor at 40E. Feeling good but a bit little bit annoyed at the fact that I could had it at considerably less, if the other guy hadn't walked up at the same time as me.
    12. I picked up this lead glass depicting Friedrich der Grosse. Seems old with later attached loops on the top ends. Has anyone seen something like this before?
    13. Yes, it adds some character to the cross. But I would rather have the original catch left. It's very nice to see a straight Meybauer pin for a change, they use to be rather beaten up. They are now known as the three stooges. If anyone knows where i can find a Meybauer Schinkel 1939 pinback, please let me know.
    14. Here is mine case with glass lid. Sorry for the glance, the glass is clear in hand. Think they were private purchase just as their counterparts in der erste Weltkrieg.
    15. Recently bought this Meybauer cross, marked 900 with catch replaced. Unfortunately with some loss of the paint. How big is the chance the wappen is under the catch plate? Think they were mostly placed in the middle and this is an unmarked example.
    16. The U-55 from WWI or WWII? I see that latter one sank some Swedish neutral vessels. This awakes bad blood, as my grandfather were serving on these kinds of boats outside and inside the blockade, suffered alot from the peril and had friends that were lost.
