the helmet is a bavarian helmet burgerwehr or police 1850s. the visor is not pointed but it gives the impression on the picture. someone has just plonked this badge onto it -
Can anyone help me. I believe there are lists where SS officers names can be looked up. I have no such access to them But if you do or know of someone who does could you ask them to look up the name Karl Volkert. I would like to know anything about him and his rank. Any help would be appreciated Christopher
