    4. Guten Tag Herr Hauptmann, I realise that I'm a wee bit late with my comment but.......I have one of these funny, fantasy pieces in my collection, as a curiosity. The fellow I got it from told me that he bought it from a vendor near the Brandenburg Gates in the mid 1980s when he was serving in Berlin with the British Armed Forces. Moreover, he said that the piece was "German made", which seems to make sense because of the type of pin used. I find this piece especially amusing because of the use of Latin letters thereby misspelling Guardia. Cheers Jim
    5. Sorry Paul, I only noticed the date after I posted. Oooops!
    6. G'day Paul, This Guards badge is actually from Belarus. Cheers, Jim
    7. G'day Dan, I "may" be able to help. Can you send me the diameter of the screw post, in mm? Thanks. Cheers, Jim
    8. Your soldier is a Soviet airborne (VDV) trooper who is wearing his "Dembel" (Demobilized) uniform which features strictly unauthorized (but tolerated) additions, such as the officers' kokarde on his blue beret. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jim
    9. Hi Roman, May we see the reverses of these very nice and rare badges? Thanks. Cheers, Jim
    10. Gentlemen, I would be most grateful if somene could post a nice, clear, close-up of the obverse and reverse of a BLUE wound stripe. Thanks. Cheers, Jim
    11. Gentlemen, I just thought that you may be interested to see other types of wound stripes. Thanks. Cheers, Jim
    12. G'day Gentlemen, I am new to this forum and need your help. I am in dire need of a portrait-type photograph of Alexandr Borisovich Zhuk (1922-2002), artist and designer employed by the Soviet and, later, the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense. Although he designed several several Orders, Decorations, and Medals, as well as the Soviet branch-of-service patches (chevrons), he is better known for his illustrated publications on firarms. I have exhausted every source I can think of but have not been able to find a photograph of this gentleman. Can anyone help me to obtain a photograph of this important historical figure? I will be most thankful any assistance. Cheers and Happy Collecting, Jim
