    1. And here is another (not Lippe-Detmold) enameled beauty, which went through my collection....the previous owner was a personal friend of King Wilhelm of Württemberg...
    2. As I don´t want to post Lippe-Detmold all the time, I will show another enameled beauty, which I sold some time ago. This piece came directly from the family and the owner was the only one allowed to wear this Waldeck-cross at the combatant (!!!) - ribbon....
    3. Yes, it´s the same family, but the family tree is quite complex. I would say, Ferdinand and Egmont were cousins 2nd grade.
    4. Ok, time to post a quite unique award-document for Prince Ferdinand zur Lippe-Weißenfeld. Prince Ferdinand got the 1st class of the Lippe-Detmold houseorder in 1931, but he was killed in action already in September 1939 in Poland. I also have the pictures of his funeral and some other documents regarding Lippe-Weißenfeld.
    5. Nice, I know, that some more award documents of this group are around in other collections, but I didn´t know, that his ribbonbar still exists.
    6. 😱 Is it Leo von Gilhaußen? I also have some documents of Leo von Gilhaußen in my collection...
    7. Here is a nice litte group, unfortunately unnamed. The Lippe-Detmold houseorder 4th class Div. A is a late one, produced by C.F. Zimmermann in Pforzheim, as well as the Lippische Rose 2nd class with oakleaves for art and science, which is a late Zimmermann-piece, too. It´s likely, that the candidate received at least the Lippische Rose post 1918, as I couldn´t find a right candidate so far. Until November 1918 only 43 Lippische Rose(n) 2nd class for art and science were awarded in total, 4 women were decorated with it.
    8. The Lippe-gendarmerie was organzied like the Prussian gendarmerie, but much smaller. There were only 22 policeofficers and one Oberst. Here is a photo from around 1900.
    9. Ohoh, here I can add something very special from a Lippe-guy. Hauptmann Hermann Kellner (the 2nd) got his crown order 3rd class with swords on 20th September 1866. But only a picture of him with his medalbar exposes, why this award is so special... As Kellner II. was in 1866 a citizen of the principality Lippe-Detmold, he was for Prussians concidered as a foreigner and therefore he got his crown order at the ribbon for foreigners (light blue ribbon instead of the black and white Prussian combatant ribbon)! Actually I don´t know the number of awards, but the number shouldn´t be that big...
    10. It´s time to post a very special rose from my collection. Although it´s not an award, it´s still wearable... These sables were introduced in 1859 and worn until 1867 by ca. 25 officers of the "Lippische Fuesiliere". In 1912 Prince Leopold IV. decided, that the policeofficers from Lippe (25 officers) should wear again the old traditional uniforms of the Lippische Fuesiliere. Beside my sable (restored), I know five other pieces (2 are still in the castle of Detmold, one is/was offered bei Weitze, one is exhibited in a museum in Detmold and additional piece is in collector´s hands). My sable was produced by Gustav Grah in Solingen, who produced only in 1860.
    11. It´s a quite sad story, as Prince Leopold IV. tried everything to prevent the deportation of his personal friend Eppstein. This photo of Dr. Hans Heinrich Lammers, Chef der Reichskanzlei is closely linked to Eppstein´s story, as the "award" of the Lippe-Detmold houseorder 2nd class with swords at the ring (which was "awarded" after 1918 by Lammers) was for sure a bribery of Prince Leopold IV. Eppstein and Lammers were comrades in the same regiment during WW1.
    12. Although I have already shown Friedrich Metze´s medalbar earlier, I also would like to present the complete group.
    13. Thanks for your appreciation! Let´s continue with the group of Bezirksfeldwebel August Schäfer in the 7th AOK in Münster / Westfalia. I also have the refering award documents here...
    14. This ribbonbar is one of my favorite...belonging to Oldwig von Natzmer, Flügeladjudant of Prince Leopold IV. This ribbonbar is very "special", as I have also a picture of the famous person of the principal Lippe-Detmold, who was wearing it... But damn, I forgot to write down his name and the name of his 1st wife 😁😁😁
    15. And on this picture August Riekehof-Böhmer is wearing this beautiful medalbar. He is standing on the right side (first row). The picture was taken in 1914 (opening of the Landtag building in Detmold). Let´s continue with some medail- and ribbonbars... This one belongs to police officer Hermann Hufen from Rietberg (Prussia)...he got the silve merit medal as No. 1 (!) of the rolls on 25th Oct. 1888. This ribbon bar is really special...7 out of 9 awards are from Lippe-Detmold. Friedrich Multhaup (Fuerstlicher Bauverwalter) got: - Lippe war honour medal (non-combatant ribbon) - Lippe houseorder 4th class Div. B (and golden and silver merit cross, all have the same ribbon) - Lippe Leopoldorder owner´s cross (and Leopoldorder silver cross with the same ribbon) - Lippe houseorder golden and silver merit cross, both have the same ribbon - Prussia cross of the Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen - Prussia long service medal - Lippe veteran´s club cross - Lippe Medaille auf den Einzug des Grafregenten Ernst 1897 - Lippe Medaille zum erstrittenen Thronanspruch 1905
    16. ...and another award document, also for Bernhard von Francois and signed by von Eppstein. It´s for the Lippe-Detmold houseorder 2nd class with swords (23 awards between 1914-1918), von Eppstein got this class earlier in October 1915 (and returned it in 1917 after awarding the 1st class with swords).
    17. Thank you Komtur for adding those pictures. I also have a picture of him, which I will add here (as a small break)... Von Eppstein is the 4th person from the left side, also wearing his cross for heroic deeds. And here is a very late award document for the cross for heroic deeds Lippe-Detmold, signed by Georg von Eppstein. Bernhard von Francois was the son of the famous General von Francois...I have (almost) all of his documents.
    18. Here is another quite rare Lippe medal: Memorial medal 1866 Lippe-Detmold The medalbar with the golden and silver merit cross belongs to police officer Ignatz Hasse
    19. A 3rd class of the houseorder is also missing....here is one, awarded by the priest Friedrich Lappe 😜
    20. As I only showed so far the silver merit medal of the Leopoldorder, I now will complete the set. Bronce merit medal of the Leopoldorder... ...and the golden merit medal of the Leopoldorden ( 84 awards only) This one was awarded by Werner Eichhorst, decorator in Detmold. Most probably he worked for the Prince in the castle, as this was his only Lippe award (surprisingly already the highest class).
