    1. Yep I was the one who paid 500 euros for the french one. At that time it was 2009 and the USD to Euro exchange rate was horrible.
    2. Would you folks consider this to be a real badge or a fake? Thank You
    3. When I look at this medal, it is struck to look almost Laotian. But I've never seen it before. What do you guys think it is?
    4. 19 and 20 are US Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badges. 19 is just a gold version on cloth while 20 is a subdued version. (I hope you paid less than $10 for those two combined)
    5. Holy crap, that would look awesome to pin on one's chest.
    6. According to this website here: http://www.medals.org.uk/laos/kingdom-laos/kingdom-laos001.htm It shows that the leaves are green, however, gold veined. This highly differs from the pictures I have enclosed below. What highly disappoints me is how the rear of the medal looks very crude and it is two pieces put together. What do you guys think?
    7. Could someone observe these photos and determine if this medal is real or fake for me? * I believe this medal is an officer grade because the leaves are green and not gold. * Is the back of the medal supposed to be a silver color instead of a gold-like color? * Are the tusks supposed to be cut out? It appears dissimilar to other medals Any information would be greatly appreciated Thank you very much. - Adam http://i.ebayimg.com/22/!BZEuNCQ!2k~$(KGrHgoH-EQEjlLlwfrpBKk5n,pbs!~~_3.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/10/!BZEuOnwBmk~$(KGrHgoH-CMEjlLl)s+(BKk5nsrhWw~~_3.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/14/!BZEuPu!CGk~$(KGrHgoH-EIEjlLlecF0BKk5n3UD2!~~_3.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/13/!BZEuQw!BGk~$(KGrHgoH-CsEjlLltsWbBKk5oFHH+!~~_3.JPG
    8. By some act of grace I have acquired these medals and I am strongly positive of their authenticity. However, I need to find ribbons that go with them. I looked all over french websites and ebay sellers, but these ribbons are extremely unique. Maybe I need to learn sewing skills, but if anyone has a clue where these ribbons could be found, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam Need Order of the Crown Commander Ribbon and Office Grade, need ribbons only. Need Order of Public Instruction? ( ORDRE DE L'INSTRUCTION PUBLIQUE), need ribbons only (That blue background medal with a yellow head on front of it) Laos Combatant Medal, need ribbons only (2x)
    9. I already have 2 medals in my collection that are very symbolic to my culture: Laos Order of the Crown (w/o ribbon) and Laos Combatant's Medal (w/o ribbon). I am on the hunt to find the missing pieces for a Laos collection. I've been in the thai and lao regions 3 times already. Not once have I ever come across antique shops. It is too difficult to rely on ebay.com for rare medals to appear; this source does not count. Please care to share your resources, it would very much be appreciated. My sincere thanks, Adam P.S. What would be the best chance to obtain replacement ribbons? I read through these forums, and tried contrasting the ribbons to french ribbon sellers on ebay and was not successful.
