Great advice.

But as someone who was born with the collecting gene, I would

not listen to the advice of others. All these lessons had to be learned

first hand--the hard way.

I am older and maybe a bit wiser now. I only collect small things

and "usually" only if I feel I can afford it but there are times when

that little voice pops back in my head

Thank you Mervyn, Nick and the judges for doing

the contest again this year. The contest lets me

combine my two hobbies and it helps to keep me

coming back to GMIC.

I see that one of mine that is a winner this year was also

entered last year. I won't do that again.

Just one remark, I think that the competition would be even better if one new rule was introduced - Photos that already won prizes in the previous competitions can not be used again. I am not a big fan of restrictions and bans but to me personally it's not that interesting when exactly the same photos win the prizes over again. Of course this is just my opinion and I hope that I will not offend anyone.
