    1. Hi, I purchased this HMS cap tally recently, but I have some doubts if it's a WWII era item. My doubts are based in fact I observed a use of some kind of sinthetic material when I did a burn test at a ribbon black thread. Another doubt I have is about the use of this kind of woven pattern at WWII era british tallies: And my question is: There's a safe way to distinguish WWII era H.M.S. cap tallies from modern ones from pictures? Regards, Ricardo

    6. Hi, A purchased recently this EK2 Godet with a 3 folded ribbon. I no doubts about medal because it's identical to other Godet I have. But it's the 1st time I see in hands this 3 folded Austrian/Saxon style ribbon and some opinons about it will be apreciated. Ribbon passed OK at UV and burn tests, but seems to me there is a ribbon eyelet missing. Regards, Ricardo

    17. Hi Bill, Many thanks for your reply, but how to distinguish the WWII french produced models from post war repositions? Regards, Ricardo
    18. Please, I'm negotiating this medal with a friend but we are not sure what from periode it was issued. Seems to me it's a french made medal, but I'd like to know if it's a official model and if it was made imediately after war or if it's a 50's or posterior reposition medal. Regards, Ricardo
    19. Hi Phil, There is another situation you don't have listed above: In some cases the medal is awarded soo much years after it's conflict end. Here in Brazil the last WWII Combat Cross was awarded at early 90's, medal itself was a reposition model very different from the WWII era model. We can say it's the vet's original awarded medal, but not the original produced model. Regards, Ricardo
    20. I think in this case the most important is to know exactly what do you have and to decide if it's acceptable or not. Regards, Ricardo
    21. Uwe, From what periode these pieces with flat ring like Weitze's and mine at #1 and #14 you believe are made? Are they modern post WWII fakes or pre WWII repositions? Regards, Ricardo
    22. Uwe and Saschaw, Please, only for my correct education about this crosses. Weitze is now offering two Bremen crosses with the same flat ring as mine at #1 and #14, in yours opinions are they copies too? https://www.weitze.n...__138752_e.html https://www.weitze.n...__156658_e.html
    23. Hi Uwe, Thank You for your reply, I see now the ring differences. It's really more flat than in others Hanseatics I have: Regards, Ricardo
