Hello, A few years back I had the pleasure of visiting the Portsmouth Naval Yards, boarded H.M.S. Victory and was very impressed with the whole set up. I sure gave me a sense of what life in the service of The Royal Navy was like back then. I was in awe when walking on the lower gun decks, and just for a moment trying to get a feeling of the action that would have taken place in the course of heated engagement (Smell of gunpowder, noise of cannon fire, the smoke, splintered oak, the dead and wounded) in such a place. To me it was well worth the time spent there. I was also most impressed with the restoration of the Mary Rose and the artifacts recouvered that are on display. Woodbine, Canada
