Hello all
I am want to ask a question about the letter prefix on the GSM issued to the African Pioneer Corps.
I have a few with the lettering AS. But I have now just purchased one that had the number prefix of EC.
would anyone be able to tell me the difference?

Just saw that the medal was awarded to a Pte, so would not be an RN abbreviation based on the rank, possibly ASC Remounts Specials?

Hi entitlement was the BWM, VM, and SWB issued for sickness in 1919

Hello all
I have recently acquired a QSA award to a Pte in the Gordon Highlanders and on his Medal card it said he was attached to the 23rd Mounted Infantry
I am looking for more information on this unit, I am lead to believe that most arriving British regiments into SA had to convert a battalion into a MI unit, is that correct
