    1. Hi Claudius, Excuse my bad english but I don´t understood clearly what do you mean Anyway I´ll tell you about it. This orders were gained by the great grandfather of my grandfather, who wrote in 1965 (in a Family Chronik) about it: As you see , he related about a visit of Czar Nicholas I to Bavaria in 1838, and the concession of the St. Stanislaus … but nothing about the St. Anna, maybe he didn´t know it. Is it possible to search about it in Germany ? Regards
    2. Let me show you the picture who sent me Fritz Bronner from California. Bavarian Chevaulegers (on horses) escorting prisoners 1915 Regards
    3. ... and let me show you also the miniatures. Excuse the bad quality. I took the pictures with the scanner. I´ll try to post it again with real photos. Regards
    4. Hello, just have a look. I have also the miniatures... Russian orders are always quite beatiful! Regards
    5. My grandfather in 1917 as a Fahnenjunker (german militar cadet) of a Bavarian Chevauleger Reg.

    7. Gentlemen, to begin with, sorry for my bad english! It´s a pleasure to find somebody interested in the Chevaulegers Regiments of the kingdom of Bayern (Bavaria). My german grandfather served as a leutnant in one of them during WW1 (the Kgl. Bayer. 2. Chevaulegers-Regt. Taxis) as you can see (if I´m capable enough to do it) in the avatar´s picture. After searching everywhere I found a person in Germany who helped me to find a lot of information about him: “Hallo Herr Ceno, ich habe ihren Großvater gefunden, und zwar in der Offiziersliste des königlich bayerischen 2 Chevauleger-Regiments Taxis. Dort steht: Freiherr Karl Rudolf von Stengel 1. Mai 1917 Fahnenjunker beim Ersatz-Depot des 2.Chevauleger-Regiments 15. November versetzt zur 2. Eskadron 30. März 1918 Führer ??? 27./28. Mai 1918 Verwundet (an anderer Stelle steht verwundet als Fähnrich am 31. Mai 1918) 10. Juni 1918 versetzt zum Ersatz-Depot 16. September befördert zum Leutnant 10. Okt. Versetzt zur 2. Eskadron 21. Mai 1919 Abschied unter Überführung zu den Reseve-Offizieren Leutnant a.D. Kriegsauszeichnungen: Bay. Militär-Verdienstorden 4. Klasse Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse Verwundeten Abzeichen” I want to give away to my mother a portrait of his father (my grandfather) wearing a leutnant´s Chevauleger uniform of 1918. In the photo he wears the Chevauleger´s Waffenrock but I´m not sure about the color. Please, have a look at this page,,, do you think it is correct? http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/bcav.htm http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/chev.htm I need a lot of information to begin … I also found in the Web: http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/New/chev0.htm Kgl. Bayer. 2. Chevaulegers-Regt. Taxis (Regensburg) III Bayerisches Armee Korps Collar/Cuffs/Straps : Wine Red Buttons : Silver Bayern Wappen : Silver Bayern Wappen (in the Pickelhaube, I think...) Did they wear in 1918 the Pickelhaube? What about the sable? Any information will be welcomed. Regards from Spain Heinz
