This is the same gentleman in my first post,Cape Colony sometime between 1910-1915 is my guess. The cap ensignia appears to be a 7,perhaps 8 pointed star, cannot tell if there is a crown at the top,not enough detail. Thanks for any comments Email me

Can anyone identify what branch of service this uniform may be associated with, the photo was taken somewhere in the Cape Colony 1910-1915? The collar/ cap insignia appears to be crossed flags on a staff with some type banner beneath. Will post 2nd photo in field type dress Thanks
