  1. Guys, This dates from 35/36 when lots of changes were taking place, quite like the stamps, embossed ink and a Reichswehr stamp? jock
  2. Hello friends What is your opinion? Original or copy? Manufacturer? Thank you very much for your great help :-)

  6. Always loved this swords. Slowly building up the collection. Non are marked.
  7. Guys, Inf from RS, not that great condition wise but an OK badge. Jock
  8. Hi all, These ones came in a few days ago. They look like unworn Ostvolk Generalmajor shoulder boards. Any thoughts on these? Regards. Peter
  9. Guys, I got these on Sunday but a pal that knows the boy from this Doctor stated he served in Stalingrad, I know it is only a story but have no reason to doubt the source. It would appear his activity in the HJ shaped his carreer path as it appears he was a HJ medic judging by his shoulder boards? Liking his award combination and it growing by the years. Jock
  10. Guys, Again from the weekend. I like helmets in wear. his deinstbrille are quite clear too being a large print. Can't make out the spider writting though! Jock
  11. Guys, This is a big picture busted out of a frame I think (A4 ish size). There messing arrangements seem quite plush? Jock
  12. Hello Gents, I´ve got this new document. Has someone seen such a one before. All comments and other pieces welcome. Regards Andreas
  13. Dear gentlemen, could you please let me know what unit does that cypher ("AA") stand for? I failed to find an answer in several reference books, including Thomas and David Sutter's "German Army Shoulder Straps and Boards 1933-1945" I bought recently. Many thanks in advance!
  14. Guys, Got this today, sadly the picture missing but a torn picture from another ausweis was inside the back cover, I am assuming this is the same bloke? So, to the book, he seems to have a nice set of awards for all of that 'brass handling'. Apart from that nothing fancy. Jock
  15. Guys, From yesterdays rescue, these were in a seperate envelope perhaps indicating a different side of the family. There are a lot of interesting pictures as the soldier appears to have been a signals man at a HQ by the look of it. I shall make a start with these. Jock
  16. Gentlemen, I have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres 1944/45. While searching for a copy I came across one edition published in 1955 and another published in 1987. I am told the 1955 edition is about 100 pages longer. Can someone tell me the difference, if any, in the two publications? With thanks Pierce
  17. The following maker marks are found on period Heer/SS war badges produced between 1939-1945 It should be noted that manufacturers also produced the same badges without any maker marks - therefore, unmarked badges should not be dismissed as originals purely because they are devoid of any maker's marks. C E Juncker - Berlin Karl Wurster - Markneukirchen Friedrich Linden - Ludenscheid F.W. Assmann und Söhne - Ludenscheid Sohni, Heubach & Co. (S.H.u.C.o.) - Idar-Oberstein a.d. Nahe Rudolf Souval - Wien Funke & Brüninghaus (F&BL) - Ludenscheid Deschler & Sohn - München Josef Feix Sohne (JFS) - Gablonz Grossmann & Co - Wien Förster & Barth - Pforzheim E. Ferdinand Wiedmann - Frankfurt AGMuK - Gablonz (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Metall und Kunstoff) 1-7 A.G.M.u.K - Gablonz MK or HM (debate surrounds the subject of this maker's mark - 'KM' or 'HM'? The schools of thought are; 'H M' for Hauptmunzamt, Munchen - 'K M' for the conglomerate Metalle Kunstoffe, Gablonz) Rudolf Karneth (R.K) - Gablonz Carl Wild - Hamburg Ernst Müller - Pforzheim Wilhelm Hobacher (WH) - Wien Franke & Co (FCL) - Ludenscheid Fritz Zimmermann & Co (FZS) - Stuttgart Julius Bauer & Söhne (J B & Co) - Zella-Mehlis / Thüringen AS Frank & Reif - Stuttgart Rudolf Richter (RRS) - Schlag Hermann Aurich - Dresden B.H. Mayer - Pforzheim Gustav Brehmer (GB) - Markneukirchen Hymmen & Co (H&CL) - Ludenscheid Adolf Scholze - Grünwald Richard Simm & Söhne - Gablonz Gebrüder Wegerhoff (GWL) - Ludenscheid Friedrich Orth (F.O.) - Wien Brüder Schneider (BSW) - Wien EWE Arno Wallpach - Salzburg Attributed to Werner Redo - Saarlautern If I've missed any, feel free to post.
  18. Do you think this is an original badge? Is that white stuff on the reverse the dreaded zinc pest.? Thanks for looking.
  19. Guys, This is a bit of a shame, some clown has painted it gloss black. I will take it back to whatever is beneath with paint stripper. It can't be any worse than the current look. Jock
  20. KStN 21 (1.11.1941) http://www.wwiidaybyday.com/ shows a Gerätwart (Drogist) (zugl.Kw.Beifahr.), as part of the " IVb (zugl.Divisionsarzt)". Would this be filled by an Apotheker? Thanks for your time Larry
