  1. Guys, From the weekend, not a fancy unit but I liked the design of the document. Jock
  2. Hi, I would like to share my 2 piece EKI (Deschlersohn) and 3 piece EKII collection (2 of them are magnetic) and would like to receive your opinios please. Thanks. Demir EKI (Deschlersohn) 1870 EKII 1914 Magnetic (a)
  3. I just bought this EK My subject is the uniforms and I do not know these pieces very well. Can someone tell me something about it? Thank you very much
  4. Hi Gents, here is another one also on a medal bar. What do you think? Every help appreciated Kind regards Andreas
  5. Hi Gents, this cross is a part from a medal bar The cross saw some repairs as usual at the band ring, I belief it is a good one. Every help appreciated. Regards Andreas
  6. Guys, Local flea market yesterday. Shame really!
  7. Guys, Bit of scrap iron again. Can't make out the maker! Home made bar?
  8. Esteemed colleagues, I have been looking for an 1870 EK2 to add to my collection for a while. As I do not see them often, I came across this piece and was looking for opinions on authenticity prior to purchasing. To me it appears a little to crisp and the numerals don't look quite right. Granted, my knowledge level is pretty low. Any help appreciated.
  9. I recently came across an EK2 and just couldn't resist buying it. Since this is not my area of expertise, I'd like to see what our forum EK experts have to say regarding this piece. I've taken a few photos which I hope will provide enough details. The case has no writing on it and there is a small mark on the ring of the award. The mark is too small for me to make out, but it looks like it could be a B or and E. Jean-Paul
  10. A nice Iron Cross second class on single mount - i think the maker was "100" - Wächter & Lange, Mittwaida
  11. Here a very nice unmarked W&L Iron Cross 2nd Class - its a realy beauty
  12. This EK 2 was already thrown into the trash by the family - i managed to rescue it.
  13. One of my favorite Iron Crosses - it clutters but i like the condition. Maker "65" - Klein & Quenzer, Idar-Oberstein
  14. Got today this nice Single EK2 ribbon bar. I know its nothing special for the most of you guys - but i realy had a hard time to find this type of EK2 single ribbon.
  15. Hi Folks! I'm new to this forum so apologies before I start in case I make any mistakes! Could anyone tell me please if this is just a standard Iron Cross 2nd Class and if it is in order. I'm not really a medals man and I just want to sell it (along with the vast majority of my collection - mainly items on paper) and I need to be sure the Cross is 100% OK. The Cross measures 44.15 x 44.10 and has a magnetic core. It is certainly a three piece example with very fine narrow soldering between the pieces. There is no makers mark on the ring (which is non magnetic). Any info would be welcome. Thanks in advance, Terry
  16. Hi Gents, I wan´t to share this very nice document with you. Unfortunately or not it´s glued into his Militärpaß Comments welcome Kind regards Andreas
  17. My newest toys. A matched set of Friedlanders.
  18. Hi everyone Brand New member so be kind this is my first time posting. I "bought" this as a part exchange for some Tamiya paints i was selling to some one in Germany. I decided to ask if he had anything relating to WWI or WWII (as you never know) being Germany is full of children & Grand children of WW vets. & he siad he had an EK II from WWI that used to belong to his Grandfather! So we came to a deal (aprox £40) off of his payment! And it arrived today! I am definatly no expert on EK's or any Membrobilia to be honest I'm relativly knew to this collecting so would really apreacite any input? It has 'WS' maker stamp on the ring, I'm guessing thats for Walter Schott of Berlin? & has the Original Ribbon. That's pretty much all I can say for sure! The Two Pictures were the originals from the seller, If need be I can get out my Digi cam & take some better ones just ask. Thanks in advance. (BETTER PICTURES UPLOADED)
  19. Hello guys ! I started ( again) to collect EK2 by different makers ! Best Regards Marko
  20. Hello All... I haven't posted anything in a while, so I thought I would show some of my recently purchased iron crosses. These make it 35 makers checked off.... wonder how many I have left to go?!!! The first is a well worn cross marked '1' - Deschler & S?hne, Munich. Unfortunately, it has only a partial stamp but is unquestionably a Deschler. I had been looking for one of these for ages and I know I over-paid for it.. but, hey! I finally have one!!
  21. Dear friends, I am buying an Iron Cross second class and I would appreciate if any of you could corroborate the authenticity of the pieces I am considering. These are the following two: Iron Cross marker 13. I particularly like this one because it is has considerable amount of its silvering left. However I am a bit concern regarding the 1813 on the back of the medal because it seems to be a bit inclined down. Additionally I am not sure about the swastika because the upper corner is not a bit separated from the frame as in other cases. http://www.military-antiques-stockholm.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_30_39&products_id=671 Iron Cross marker 100 I like this one because it looks better preserved than the previous one and because the Swastika is a bit separated from the frame as I have seen in other models. I am a bit concerned about the 1939 and 1813 since I have seen floch reproductions in which both dates were very low close to the frame. I am inclined to buy this one if somebody can confirme its authenticity. http://www.military-antiques-stockholm.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_30_39&products_id=672 I have very little experience in this regard and I would very much appreciate your opinion in this matter. Could anybody confirm if these two pieces are authentic? Best regards and good Saturday James
  22. Dear Friends, When I received the new two volume book about EK's by Wernitz - I only noticed maker "KAG", which is quite common has always been unidentified. However, I have always thought (I can not remember from where I have got this information), that it would have been "Die Kommunale Arbeitsgemeinschaft", which is official German abbreviation, or Die "Königliche Arbeitsgemeinschaft" I guess these possibilities have been searched through and the KAG still remains as mystery? Jani
  23. It is my Ubergroße cross . A cross inside (swastika) is not cut, full design It has long been hunting for one piece of These, Which Because many of the cross is cut off for touching the inside of the frame of the swastika Best Regards Sanya
  24. Hello friends What is your opinion about this EK2? Has someone an idea about the manufacturer? Thank you
  25. Back then a source of pride... I am sure the recipients would roll over in their graves if they saw the bargain bins of crosses at shows today... I used to me "anti maker mark" collecting, but at least it has given a certain value to EK2s.... On the back of this postcard a man of the 108th Schutzen Regiment proudly announces he has just been awarded the EK...
