  1. I wonder if anyone can help me out with a list of Viktor Lutze's awards. He seems to have had quite a few Imperial awards. Thanks James
  2. Gauleiter: The Regional Leaders of the Nazi Party and their Deputies, 1925-1945, by Michael D. Miller and Andreas Schulz. This is the first of the planned 3-volume series on the Gauleiters and deputy Gauleiters, and covers Herbert Albrecht though H. Wilhelm Hüttmann (a total of 44 biographies). As Mark Costa states in the book’s foreword, “This publication marks a much needed milestone in the research of Hitler’s regional paladins”. The authors of this great book have compiled details from many German primary source references of the period, to include Goebbels’ diaries and original SA and SS personnel files. The book begins with a breakdown of the different Gaue (regional subdivisions of the NSDAP), including data such as date of establishment, population, area in square miles, lists of subordinate Kreise (districts), etc. The information on each Gauleiter includes their personal information such as date and place of birth and death, education, World War I service (when applicable), details of their Party careers, information on their postwar lives (de-Nazification, war crimes trials, etc.), decorations & awards with dates received, family data, excerpts from speeches and letters, and a wealth of excellent photos. Each Gauleiter’s life as detailed in this book is a short story unto itself. I found it very interesting to learn details of their lives after the Third Reich and/or the circumstances of their death. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. My congratulations to Mike Miller and Andreas Schulz for a superb book. I look forward to the next 2 volumes !
  3. Large jpress photo, so quite a bit of detail can be seen, like the NSFK pilot badge and NSFK daggers being worn. Lots of berets in wear, also, which I don't see too often. --Kevin
  4. Guys, Quite the reverse these days but back then they were trying to protect jobs.
  5. Johann Ludwig Graf Schwerin von Krosigk Born: 22 Aug 1887 Died: 04 Mar 1977 Reichsminister der Finanzen Leitender Minister
  6. Guys, I never knew these things were marked on the reverse, no wonder they lost the war! A few of the gold ones are RZM marked with contract M1/153. Like who would even look behind a pip?
  7. Guys, Not much about today, just this sadly! Seems a bit odd as it does not seem to confer any medal it appears to be just a thanks from the veterans organisation on behalf of the State? It is larger than A4 so the scan has not caught the edges, sorry!
  8. Guys, This is from last week but I have not had time, access or inclination to post. I have had a word with myself and am back in action. It appears to be for schooling and has a lot of alleged data from the time? Can do more pics if anyone has a specific interest in this direction. The cover artwork is quite striking and it is in A4ish format.
  9. Guys, I would not normally go for these but the fact that the dust covers have survived persuaded me take them. I find the mad staring eyes on the cover for Rebellion in Germany a bit unsettling.
  10. Guys, I have now left the British fold here in Germany and I am now engaged in my new job. Already I have met some interesting folk in under a month. This bust was found in the 70's by a colleague in a fast flowing river. It screams I was there!
  11. Guys, Looks like it was used to scribble a note on, perhaps post war? Jock
  12. I recently picked up this photo of three early NSDAP Political Leader brownshirts. All three were also members of the NSBO. Cheers, Larry
  13. Guys, I said I would keep my eyes open for this sort of thing and spotted this today. The set of cards is for a five day cruise on above ship as part of the DAF, KDF program. It is just a card that had the menu and events of the day for the guests. I have put them in order. The green card lists price of fags and booze on board. The theatre program is unrelated but posted it together since it is KDF. I have two sets of the itinery cards so if anyone wants to swap let me know!
  14. Guys, As stated a bit ugly looking thing but like I say not much out there today.
  15. Hello All. What do you think of this medal ?? is fake or original. I just got these photos provided by the seller. please leave your comment. Lambert
  16. Guys, Also in todays loot! I hadn't noticed before that there is space to record Units and awards. Probably because others that I have are blank in those areas. Jock
  17. Guys, Out of the skip, it looks to be a miss-matched lid and body, the body is RZM marked and to the right of the rivet may be 39 for 1939. Jock
  18. Hello Gents, a few years ago I got this object despite all the care taken I couldn´t find out what it is. Every help appreciated.
  19. Guys, From sunday, the black of the swastika on the belt buckle is visible with magnifying glass. Jock
  20. Hi, Here is a Werkschutz portrait. I have seen documentation at another forum with a photo of a person with the same letters on his collar. If I remember correctly he was based in Paris. Cheers, Larry
