1. I have recently started a small collection focused on the RDB "Reichsbund der Deutschen Beamten" (State League of German Public Officials) that included all the civilian personnel who managed the intricate and highly complex administrative fabric of the Reich. This organization was established towards the end of 1933, within the NSDAP and its objective was the administrative control of all the state organizations, the so-called Gleichschaltung (synchronization) to serve the interests of the Reich. I hope you like it, little by little I will put all my pieces. RDB Collection by Gefreiter Otto RDB membership card started in July 1934 with number 56,836. At the end of 1942 the RDB had more than 1,800,200 members ... I have not been able to decipher the work of Mr. Albert Otto ... This typeface is very complicated. RDB Collection by Gefreiter Otto Small photograph of 4.3cm by 6cm, citizen wearing party insignia and pin of the SA on the tie in addition to the RDB badge and a tiny reichsbahn pin. RDB Collection by Gefreiter Otto Badge with unknown NR marking and code Ges Gesch "gesetzlich geschützt" (legally permitted / protected by law) RDB Collection by Gefreiter Otto New postcard-size photograph of an RDB member and his family. The young soldier in the photograph has turned out to be a member of the Volkssturm, specifically a Kompanieführer ( Head of Company ) to be continue...
2. Hello I do not know the manufacturer NR Does anyone know? These manufacturers have met this piece: -M1/14 Matth. Oescbsler & Sohn, Ansbach -M1/34 Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen -M1/63 Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid -M1/152 Deschler & Sohn, München -KW Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen Does anyone know more manufacturers??? Thanks
3. Gents A recent arrival. Curious as to the notch and the non-raise ges.gesch. as well. Have a nice Sunday. Robert
4. Hi guys, I would appreciate your opinions on this 6 place ribbon bar with all 3 NSDAP service devices. Of course it is extremely rare to find all 3 devices on one bar. Regards, AB.
5. Anyone here collect or have any of the Austrian shooting achievement badges? I have quite a few now, I'll post an old scan I took a while back, but I do have quite a few more now. If anyone wants to see any detailed images of any just ask. Cheers Don
6. Been a little quiet here so I thought I'd dig out a badge to show. This is the 1st pattern Frauenschaft badge, believed to only have been in use for less than a year, 1933 - 1934. Cheers Don
7. This Gau badge was awarded in three versions, a gold and silver one, and a smaller round version awarded to females. [attachmentid=45054] it is a gold Gau badge ?what mean is 1923?
8. The Kleingärtner badges were made by several manufacturers each with their own distinctive pin plate/keeper. There are also minor differencies in the eagles heads/necks, & under high magnification the pebbling & enamel etc. The most common of these seems to have been Carl Poellath who I believe as you will see, also made the anniversary pin for this organisation. In the next few posts I will show 4 different makers, one I feel could be a fake. There is at least one more maker of these pins that I have not yet found an example of to show here. If you have one not shown, please post it. First the most common, Carl Poellath Cheers Don
9. Hello Gents, I picked up this unique little item for almost nothing, and was wondering if anyone has seen this before? The swaztika is reversed, which I know is sometimes used in TR items, but it could also be a British piece from maybe India, as this swaz is used there as well. THere are two snakes on it as well. It is made of pure silver, marked Stirling 825 on the back, which also leads me to believe it is British. Someone told me it may be a Victorian English piece, but noone is sure. If this is for another forum, please move this post but I thought this may be a good forum to post it in. Well, can anyone shed some light on this mystery piece? Thanks, Pat
10. One of my areas of collecting is items relating to Nurnberg and the Reichsparteitags especially tinnies and day badges. Any one else got anything nice ?
11. Hello, just wanted to show a recent purchase which I believe is a Navy support badge of excellent workmanship, 22 mm. Maker marked under the needle, but unreadable to me. Enjoy!
12. Post your RAD Honour pins here, for now both type I & II's This type I interestingly double marked for Assmann & Söhne.
13. Thought you may be interested in a members badge I recently picked up. These were also available with a red border, but I'm not sure what significance if any this had. Cheers Don
14. Picked this up from ebay, and just thought of it as a better quality tinnie, but I happened upon it in Heering & Huskens book He/Hu4606b
15. Dear All Could anyone of you help for the infromation about this badge? I would like to know what's the clasp mean in this badge? How many combination of the clasps which will mounted on this badge? Thanks and regards BP
16. Hello Gentlemen, Im looking for more informations about the awards of this Institut. Specially the Silver badge. A Picture will be great to Thx in advance regards
17. hi gents, i have a question: is this a tinnie or is it something else? as far as i have observed, the tinnies seemed to be a bit larger and were made a bit differently. this one is 42mm long and is not maker marked.
18. Lets see whatever you have relating to Gau badges including pics of these badges in wear etc. Here are 2 of my most prized sets. The Gau Thuringen badge set. Recently acquired from a well respected US collector. I also have an award document for the Gau Thuringen badge that I will post a pic of when I get the chance.
19. Hi, I am about to purchase from a good friend an original 25mm Party badge in Gold, its athenticity in not the question however I am sure that it will end up being such. The badge with a few other items was taken from a very famous German by my friends grandfather who was a British Officer in the War. The issue number is 18 which is pretty low. I now have the problem of how much do I offer and will anyone ever believe that it is correct!! If any one can confirm the NSDAP number I would appreciate it. The German in question was one of the 12 hung in the first days of the Nuremburg Trials. I have not got any photo's yet however I have seen it many years ago. Taff!!!
20. A little quiet again. Anyone have any stickpins they wish to share? Here's a couple of mine. First, RLB Cheers Don
21. Gents, I am hoping some others would have one of these to compare. It seems a bit funny that I don't think I have ever seen this particular badge posted for discussion before or at least not that often. It's not the most eye-catching but is well-made and nicely marked. Have a nice weekend. Robert ""
22. i'm back after a very long absence.... thought i would post my latest project for you to see. i am still after 1919 and 1918 so if anyone finds one let me know and you will get a nice little pressy. hope you like and thanks for looking
