Emblems of the LW in Spain

Recommended Posts

Time is passing, then the pilot is taking "promotion" so does the emblem (my theory and I can be wrong)

Fran?ois,

that seems to be a Heinkel HE 45 Reconnaissance and Trainer plane and one could interprete the emblem: Mickey says: "Be quiet!"

Makes sense?

This one is a personal emblem and is attached to a "sad" story.

"It belongs to 1./K88, aircraft 25-15 (He 111, know as "Pedro 15"), flown by Lt Fuhrhop. His (and his crew) mascot was a black Scotch terrier, who was not as so lucky as the crew, as he was killed over Sagunto on 13 June 1938."

I, then, assume that this pic was taken prior to 13 June 1938

Again, the witch personal marking on the tail of Heinkel He 111B-1,25-9 "Pedro 9" of 1./K88

On the back is, also from 1./K88, aircraft 25-15 (He 111, know as "Pedro 15"), flown by Lt Fuhrhop. His (and his crew) mascot was a black Scotch terrier

I had no idea that the Germans adorned their aircraft with such graphics. Was this the case throughout the war?
