The colors are right for the 1900-1939 one and on Liverpool medals they hve Persian awards with french style rosettes.... so.... the ribbon in the second post (with the envelope) could technically be corect?Meaning the Frenchi and the Persian are almost same, same except for the width of the colors?A silly question... but has anyone seen rosettes with black backing cloth like these?Not sure we know enough about Guy's image to say much of anything. That we have an image of a rosetted ribbon and an envelope from an unknown source doesn't give us much of a "data point". Admittedly, we need to know much more about Iranian awards than we do at present, but the chances of archival access are so close to zero as to not matter.But I think this unofficial Frenchy thing is what we are seeing anyway.
