Does anybody have any more information or a photograph of Lieutenant Savrin? All there is a brief section of several pages in Franz Kurowski's book on the Brandenburgers. He was a Red Army lieutenant captured by the Germans and soon worked for the Canaris/Abwehr/Schelllenberg/SD monopoly, and the German High Command assigned him and his wife on a mission to assassinate Stalin, disguised as a Major. However the Soviet spy Martin Bormann (code name Justus) relayed all the information to the Kremlin and Savrin after crash landing and fooling many Soviet soldiers was captured by a Colonel and in a deal with the Soviets in return for continuing the radio transmissions as they were ans thus betray every German spy in Moscow, which happened Savrin and his wife would be spared. Also before the mission Beria and a Soviet General in the Kremlin tried to request a photograph of Savrin. Does anybody know if such a photograph exists? Since I'm interested in reading a little further in this Savrin fellow. Thanks in advance,

    K
