CRBeery Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) Tomorrow marks another yearly gathering in my town of antique peddlers. About three years ago I went expecting to find my usual nothing. To my surprise there was a military dealer there. I bought about 8 items from him. One item was this poor rusty, beat-up bar that nobody wanted. I bought it as I was leaving around 2:00. It was $60 and I figured I could strip the medals off and scrap the bar and still get my money back. I checked before I bought it and was disappointed that the EK2 was not marked. Sad to say - IT TOOK ME 8 HOURS TO NOTICE THE 3!!! Edited July 16, 2005 by CRBeery
CRBeery Posted July 16, 2005 Author Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) This is why I stay in Imperial. I do not think I would pay the extra money from a dealer for one of these. This was the only way one of these would fall into my collection. Edited July 16, 2005 by CRBeery
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I once told a friend what I had sold my round 3 for and his eyes popped out. He collects ammunition boxes etc. but has 2-3 medals. he said he will go home and look at his one and only EK2.... I figured "yeah right!"Half an hour later he calls up... and it is a rounder... go figure !

Richard Gordon Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Isn't it great when that happens?!Reminds me of the circumstances with this trio... it was on Ebay and the pictures were dark but I noticed it straight away and got it for a song Rich
