Riley1965 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Would someone please post a pic of the shoulderboards for enlisted/NCO of the Herman Goerring Division at Anzio? Thanks in advance!!! Doc
Paul R Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I do not own any HG straps... but I could find some images I could link to you. Do you want to see Feldblau or Tropical?
Riley1965 Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 Thanks Paul!!! Both if possible. I'm working on a 1:35 scale diaroma and I want to get it right. Doc
Paul R Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hi! I am sorry for the delay! Please bear in mind that after March1943(Anzio started in Sep43, if I am not mistaken), the HG division reflected the member's speciality on their shoulder straps only(Plain white collar tabs for everyone). The possible pipings for the shoulder straps were:Red- artyPink- PanzerOrange- Field Police(after 03Jun1943)Yellow- ReconGolden Brown- SignalsBlack- PioneerLight Blue- Supply/Field Police(between 02Apr1943 and 03Jun1943)White- Grenadier Regt
Paul R Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Just go with white piping on the boardsIs that what most had during that time?
Bob Lyons Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Here is a set of Other Ranks (Enlisted Mans) shoulder straps with white piping for HG troops...Bob
Bob Lyons Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Hmm, the stitching around the button hole comes out in these shots as looking like there is some red tinges onthe cotton, it is a trick of the light, as they are grey, will have another go and see what they come out as...
Paul R Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Those are beautiful, Bob!! Thanks for sharing them! You have the rest of the tunic as well, dont you?
Paul R Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 HGD was the only unit that used the pink piped shoulder straps!
Bob Lyons Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 One heck of a rare strap Paul !!! I did have an NCO's HG tunic, but I have let all of my tunics go, so that no longerresides with me, I am probably a bit silly, but tunics at the moment scare the heck out of me with the add ons etc that can be done with them, although I think the examples that I had were ok, I didn't want to expand on what I had,and space was a bit of a problem too, so I have sold them all off. (I only had 8 Luftwaffe related tunics). Bob
Paul R Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Thanks Bob!! It is a tragidy to hear that your tunics are all gone! Thanks for the compliment on the straps. I got the set from Kai a few months ago for about 150 dollars!! He had them listed as General Staff!
