Bob Lyons Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 It seems all is quiet on the forum today, so will try and liven it up a bit, here is an example of a Luftwaffe officer side cap/overseas cap with bullion insignia...
Bob Lyons Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 Well, many thanks Bill.CheersBob (I will try and add a few more caps shortly!!).
Paul R Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Thanks for posting these Bob!! I love the bullion insignia!Paul
PeterL Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Using this thread again to see what you think about this sidecap. Beeing new to LW headgear I am greatful for every input I can get. My own thoughts is that the silver band looks a bit rough, but the eagle looks an early droptail one.Thank youPeter
Bob Lyons Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 Hard to tell from that photo, the piping does look a bit thick, any more photos of the cap ???Bob
Paul R Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Please do post more photos. At best, it looks like an EM to officer upgrade?
PeterL Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Here are the rest of the photos, thank's for you interest.
Paul R Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 There is something under the swastika on the eagle... is it a hole or a portion of an EM eagle that is protruding?I am not feeling good about this piece either. The piping is a bit too bright(new) and looks odd. What are your thoughts on the Eagle, Francios?
Bob Lyons Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 I wouldn't feel comfortable owning that one....Bob
nesredep Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 HiPeter LI agree that it does not look good!Kind regardsNesredep
