joe campbell Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 do you know anything about why there'sa double stamp?a VERY fine cross, micha!joe
Motorhead Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 Joe,the only thing I know about this maker is-there's also a 2nd class! We really don't know anything about this maker...Micha
Steve Russell Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 The Friedlander and Wagner PlMs were identical and many believe were made by Wagner and distributed by Friedlander. Could this stamp be a shared one for the same kind of arrangement for sales, etc. on the EKs? Incredible stamping. Steve
Steve campbell Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 That is an awesome looking cross! Maybe this is a similar situation to the with the WS overstamped with Z EK2.
gregM Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 (edited) Micha,Great cross ! congrates on getting a really hard to find piece.Russel,How's that want list coming along? Edited June 29, 2007 by gregM
ekhunter Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 (edited) Micha,Great cross ! congrates on getting a really hard to find piece.Russel,How's that want list coming along? The list is like the EVEREADY bunny. It just keeps going, and going, and going. Seriously, this list is what keeps me going and going. I collected some things in the past, where I had every just about every example known to be made. Then I got bored, and usually sold it. With these crosses, particularly the Imperial First Classes, it is probably impossible for anyone to ever have every maker and variation (although Micha is well on his way ). That's the main thing that keeps this so interesting to me. It's the quest that makes it so damn fun. After all, don't we all want, what we can not have. Edited June 29, 2007 by ekhunter
