1) Cover letter forwarding the actual award document of a IX years Service Medal from the Demobilization Office of the IVth Army Corps. Signed by an unidentified/no rank "von Puttkamer."

2) Statement to a mother concerning her dead son's effects, being returned to her-- including QUITE a pile of cash for those days. Gives number and "address" of his grave. Any questions aabout his awards will have to be addressed to his unit. An EK2 is being returned with wallet and cash, a mechanical pencil, mirror, letters, etc.

A slight correction seems in order: 3rd sentence should read that any question about the nature of the wound (which lead to the death) should be addressed to his unit.
