landsknechte
I know the ribbon in first place is something Weimar-era from W?rttemberg, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Does anyone remember what that ribbon represents, and possibly have a picture of the decoration?Thanks,--Chris
Christophe
Hi Chris,You seem right about W?rttemberg.I think, but i'm not sure, it is the ribbon of the Order of the W?rttemberg Crown (Orden der W?rttembergische Krone). But, it is not Weimar republic era...Ch. Christophe
If this guess is right, here is a pic of the Order of the W?rttemberg Crown (Orden der W?rttembergische Krone), Knights's Cross with Lions (Ritterkreuz mit L?wen).Ch. HeikoGrusdat
Christophe, your order is too high for this little vet bar... I think here is the right one, cross from the W?rttemberg Vet`s organization - really nice Heiko

landsknechte
Heiko's nailed it... The Crown Order only has two black stripes, not four. Edited September 5, 2005 by landsknechte
Wild Card
Hi Chris,I would agree with Heiko. Although the colors are right for a number of official W?rttemberg decorations, I am afraid that the combination of black stripes does not match up with any of them. A nice little ribbon bar nevertheless.Best wishes,Wild Card
landsknechte
I already have this bar, with what may just be a variant of that ribbon. Haven't found anything else even vaguely close:

Stogieman
You should be careful buying from Christian, he has had several batches of bad ribbon bars lately.

Unless they've got very authentic looking wear (such as this one), I generally don't even bother. The pretty mint bars - forget it.Thanks,--Chris Edited September 7, 2005 by landsknechte
