This beautiful little star shines up my collection-shelf.

The middle star of the Hungarian Order Of Merit.

    Peter,

This is really agreat addition to your collection. A difficult piece to find. I'd like to see a picture of the back please.

I agree with you about the Iron Crown. A really superb design. Mine look very good on my generals uniform. Always a pleasure to look at your excellent photographs.

    Regards,

    Gordon

I recently acquired some very good quality original photographs of Austro-Hungarian officers with nice medal-bars.

Now, I spend my days digitally restoring them and colouring them.

This is a Major belonging to the 31. Landwehrinfanterieregiment in Teschen.

    Hi Iver,

Here is an online Schematismus. Although it is a bit limited, but nevertheless, extremely useful:

    Hello Gent's !

Collecting has been quite slow this summer, so I have to present some of my older medals until new treasures drops in.

    -----------------~~---------------------

As my great grandfathers grave was moved after 50 years in 1968 to another location, my grandfather who was present removed these three medals from the remains.

He saved them all his life since there were only a very few things from his father.

    Hello Peter,

Everytime I look through your posts I come away more in awe than the time before.

An amazing collection well displayed and your photography is beyond reproach.

Thanks once more for posting these treasures for us to view.

    Regards

    Brian
