French officer sword

Hello gents,

I have this sword, when I bought it I was told it is a 19th century French infantry officer sword.

Can anybody tell me if that is correct, and what is the model?

When I bought it the seller said it was mid-19th century (like 1845 or something).

I'm also considering to sell it as I can't find a good place for it in my collection, so if anyone is interested, just PM me with a bid and I'll see if it can go for that price.

I had one very much, if not exactly, like yours and it was French. If I recall it was mid 1800s (the date of the sword not the date I owned it).

I've found out it is a 1850 model, infantry officer sabre.
