Latest one with the ribbon for the Romanian crusade against communism.

That is a great photo. I have never seen this award as a button hole award. Thanks for posting it. What exactly was this medal awarded for? Bravery, like the EK2 or was it considered to be a campaign medal?

According to Foreign Legions of the 3rd Reich, this was "instituted on 1st April 1942 and awarded to all branches of the Romanian forces engaged in the struggle in the east..........it was also liberally bestowed on Romania's allies". For info the book mentions that 14 bars could be awarded for front line service. Anyone seen these before? Any photos of these bars to show?
