The overgrowth is a result of the hot wet weather this spring, I

surmise it will be cropped soon.

The gun is located next to some monuments dedicated to men from the area who fought in WW2.

    Hi Kevin,

Now that's what I need for my backyard! :jumping:

It would look great half hidden in the wooded area pointing at that snooty neighbour next door.

    Cheers

Here is a picture of Tun antitanc DT-UDR 26 (Resita), calibrul 75 mm, model 1943, a little modified. I received this picture from a Romanian soldier I am serving with in Iraq. It was taken in Timisoara, Romania.

    Hallo Lorenzo

This weapon is one of a pair outside of the Officers club in central Timisoara, Timis County, both well known, and photographed by myself as the building was used over the last 5 years for the Collectors Fair, time permitting, as I am getting set to head off on holiday I will dig out and post some shots (but thinks I already posted pictures before of them on the Forum.) Interestingly one of them seems to have been hit (but no penetration) by a burst of machine gun fire on the splinter shield, the indentations being visible when you catch the light at a certain angle.

The yellow sign on the gun shield is not military related but a peace sign representing this area as a point of interest connected to the Peoples Revolution of 1989.
