    Hi,

there are many, many variations.... superd collecting field in themselves. They are usually for the 100th birthday of the regt, but not to be worn on the uniform.

This type of medal often shows up on medal bars of old veterans before the World War-- about the ONLY clue we have as to what--if any--ribbon went with them.

Completely unofficial, many MIGHT have never had any ribbon at all-- worn as watchfobs or on a key chain or something like that.

Here's a Bavarian Infantry Regiment 14 Centennial from 1914, with an odd suspension which makes me think watchfob wear was intended, next to a 125th tinnie --with a 1918 Wound Badge for size comparison, all from an officer in this regiment:

I've also got a souvenir booklet from this unit's centennial, which makes no mention of the "watchfob," so perhaps there was competition in the local souvenirs market!

I think that there may be a couple of minor exceptions to the concept that there were no regimental

jubilee medals which had ?official? status calling for them to be worn on the uniform.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Specifically, I am referring to the Prussian Hannoverian Jubilee medals, of which there were nine
