Laurence Strong
Just recieved these. Thanks to Paul for the link He thought they were carmine and I thought they were red. Now that I have them in hand I am not so sure my thought was correct, they seem to be a darker, pinker color than my red boards. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated Edited July 29, 2008 by Laurence Strong

Guest Rick Research
How accurate did the scans come out for color? Look red to me on my screen.I keep fire department boards around for comparisons. To me, their carmine is "radioactive lipstick color."Third Reich fire (mint) compared with Bavarian WW1 General staff (ratty) of what is supposed to be the same color:
Laurence Strong
Well you are a smart cookie I won't forget this trick any time soon. Got a pair of those boards also. Thoughts?
Paul R
It is either faded red or perhaps "salmon"? I thought that I read in my Angolia that there was thought to be a salmon color to represent Geologists?
Laurence Strong
Hi Paul I think it's as you say a faded red. I have not run across reference to a "Salmon" color yet. Any idea what that would be in German? I know they had a rosa/pink for awhile till it was incorporated into the white nebenfarbe around '
