Martin W Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 Well,it has been a long time coming but i finally received my tombak Schwerin.A very nice but slightly worn original with about 50-60% of it's original guilding.It fills a big hole in my HSK collection.Now i just have to find the elusive tombak and zinc examples by BH Mayer.Regards,Martin. Martin W Posted November 15, 2008 Author Share Posted November 15, 2008 Paul,please post some pic's of you new badge.I would love to see them.I just picked up another tombak Schwerin myself.At first i thought i was sad that the reverse hardware was removed.I later found out that this was done by the recipient so that he could place the badge in a album.So i now have a very personalized piece for $160.00.Regards,Martin. Martin W Posted November 15, 2008 Author Share Posted November 15, 2008 (edited) The "modified" reverse.The wings on the eagle have been bent upwards.This probably occured during the process of removing the hinge.Vise or clamp marks are visible on the eagle.
