Now, the fun part....... the RAO Medal mounted is pretty darn hard to find. The Lubeck is a typical "Radiator Paint job" now confirmed as WW1 era....... and the Gold (gilt) Sax-Altenburg is pretty darn hard to find as well. Note the classic weird 1930's ribbon on the Sax-Altenburg piece........ you can be assured that this is one of the imperial ribbons that is period, but will glow like crazy under UV light! Just a case in point that there are period pieces that glow!

The first one is interesting as it is housed in the typical 1930's "Treue um Treue" vonHindenburg case. A rare case......... Now, for a cookie.........

......... who can explain why this 1930's case holds this rare group and has no Hindenburg Cross??

    HHmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Isn't it AMAZING what the Powers Of Good & Light? can do for the GOOD Ricky?-- and all thanks to astroturf-free Epson 2400 series scan-o-rama!

Hard to tell since the SEHOM is PERFECT, minty fresh. (His Evilness would not let me do the One Surefire Silver Test which is to

    sssssh

    TASTE it)

There is no wear-- what MAY look like "bronze" peaking out of the flawless gilt is actually a sort of oily patina on the never touched finish. I brightened these a bit because of the shine issue which my otherwise flawless Epson 2400 has-- Real Color as on the medal bar scan.:love::love::love::love::love:

WAAAY back in post #5, you said something

    but glows like the dickens....

can you fill me in on why, or at least which of

the period thirties ribbons will do it??

beautiful mounted groups, by the way.

wouldn't mind at all if they ended up under

Yes, I've read there are several dies which will glow. None of mine does however. I was hoping for one to show one a while back. Nice bars from the twins as always.
