Hello Gentlemens !

This is a photo possessed by a friend : this photo has been made in Caudry (France) during WW1.

But, look the second man , left, first line : which insignia wear it on the collar ???

From the suspension blur above the Order at his neck, I'd say he is the Catholic version-- Vatican-affiliated Order of Malta. The Prussian Johanniter had no such extra device over their "Pour le Merite" looking Order.

Also notice that the naughty man is wearing a ribbon each out of TWO different tunic buttons! :speechless1:
